My daughter saw this today and loved it. She was invited to go with her friend from school (and mother). The parents are refugees from Venezuela who arrived last year when the girl could not even speak German but still my daughter befriended her (she now knows German very well). The father is a doctor (the mother too) and starts a new job at a hospital outside Berlin so they are moving away this weekend.

It is good they got to share this movie experience before they go because, Friendship Is Magic!

One thing's for sure...if you see any males over the age of 10 in the theater they've probably whoopsies unless they're with their young daughter.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I have watched every episode of this show with my Daughter, and honestly its one of the few pieces of entertainment on TV today that I believe is truly family friendly... Which I was beyond shocked when I first started watching it with her, since its essentially TV made by a toy company.

The show has always be wholesome, and uplifting and safe family fare. It is schmaltzy with most episodes teaching a lesson about friendship and being a decent person.

Unless the movie goes wildly away from the show that has been around for 7 years now, it seems this reviewer is projecting a bit of offense where none are there. I will see it with my daughter this weekend, but if the movie is ANYTHING like the show, claiming this movie is somehow an affront to decency or immoral in any way seems impossible.

I’m glad family programming exists but it’s far too saccharin for me. The way this film is described makes me want to run at warp speed to Tex Avery and the gang.

My daughter, at one time, could tell you all the pony’s names. I used to read the books to her and we had fun with her MLP play set. It was a very sweet time with her.

She would have loved this movie back then.

*sigh*

They grow SO fast.

I saw the trailer when I took the boys to see “Lego Ninjago” a couple of weeks ago. I decided against mentioning it to my 5-year-old daughter.

I know a gal that collects MLPs . She has an entire room dedicated for their display . Most of them are still in the box . Every year she attends the international MLP convention . She takes it very seriously !

I recall Laura Ingraham’s name for John Edwards: “Silky Pony.”

Is it safe to take your child to any movie? Kids movies today all have some skillfully hiden LGTB message that plants that seed that same sex romantic relationships are normal....this is how the milleneal generation has become so pro LGTB and anti Christian. Started with those shows on Nickoloadian and Disney channel in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
