In the last two weeks, I have been trying to explain Constitution 101 to people until I’m blue in the face. No avail. All that numbskulls hear is “free speech,” and that’s that. Now we see why they haven’t been teaching the Constitution in schools for decades.

That whole free speech thing in the Constitution goes way back to England when if you criticized the king/queen for any reason it was considered treason and appropriate action was taken.

The 1st Amendment was put in to protect citizens from any reaction from government should they want to "peacefully" protest or speak out against what the government was saying or doing.

Liberals feel that it's one sided in their favor and that burning the Flag and looting and rioting and destruction of property is Constitutionally protected free speech.

I tried to explain to a guy why President Trump did NOT steal the election by cheating in the Electoral College. I tried to explain how California has so many electoral votes - more than anybody else - but once She won the state she didn’t get any additional credit for winning by a bigger margin. I don’t think he was buying any of it. I’m not sure he’d heard any of it before.
