Thank You for your service and your courage both on the battlefield and the playing field.
Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies. You remember that, boy. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. You see, a man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.
The only steeler worthy
yep.
Couldn’t believe his teammates left him out to dry like that. It says a lot about the team and it’s really quite sad
You are the class and the courage of the NFL.
True, it says much more about Alejandro Villanueva IMO. He's more of a man than his teammates can ever hope to be.
My eyes watered when I read about it.
Hes a real man among children playing a childs game, pretending to be warriors.
This is what a HERO looks like..served three tours of duty in Afghanistan..what have these NFL players done for this country beside throw a football around and get paid 80 mil to do it..have they put on an apron to help feed the homeless, gone to a local boys and girls club to prevent youth from joining gangs, helped clean up the inner cities, build a park, paint a house..they haven’t done any of that, all they can do is kneel..while those like Villanueva went to a hell hole to FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM, ALL of our freedom!
Steelers coach Tomlin says he is “disappointed” with Villanueva. He claims he wanted “100% unity”. Tomlin just does not get it and never will. He never served, never went in harms way and never witnessed brave men making the supreme sacrifice or suffer horrible wounds. He has no idea what that anthem means to honorable men like Villanueva. Nor does he understand how his team and those who kneel insult the American people. Villanueva kept faith with his comrades and the people he swore to defend. The Pittsburgh Steelers will forever be stained with the mark of shame.
Thank you, Alejandro. You have courage, guts, and a worthy character. Unfortunately, your teammates might be male, but they are not men. You are.
The only steel in the Steelers.
The rest hiding like craven cowards in the locker room.
The NFL’s last man.
He would stand tall among his peers - even had they been men.
At their next game I hope the crowd stands up and chants his name.
He’s like Jonathan E (James Caan). At the end of Rollerball.
It’s not about the game anymore. It’s about Freedom. And you’re the last one on the field. The powers are against you. But the people are with you.
NFL GOLD STAR SHOWER
Great move Alejandro!
Meanwhile, your teammates,
the NFL had a Gold Star Shower,
they pissed on Mothers of Dead Soldiers.
(you cannot make this stuff up :^)
Sounds familiar, John Wayne?
> Couldnt believe his teammates left him out to dry like that. <
Yep. You’d have thought that at least one Steeler would have stepped up, and stood next to him. At least one.
It has been reported that Steelers coach Tomlin wanted 100% team participation in the anthem protest. He almost got it.
Hub McCann (Played by Robert Duvall): I’m Hub McCann. I’ve fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I’ve seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I’ve won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN and loved only one woman with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That’s who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY!
