Looks like Roku has ditched XTV due to lawsuits and "pirating" concerns. It's too bad. They had a variety of cataloged quality old-school entertainment.
Now how will I satisfy my Dark Shadows addiction?
I would have assumed X TV was porn?
Pay for it? Or find a new place to steal it from?

As far as I know there is no subscription option to it. It had old cartoons (BPC—Before PC), silent movies, dramas, B flicks.
Yes you would think that, but no.
YouTube or amazon prime.
Don’t know how you feel about Amazon...but the DS series is included with a subscription to Amazon Prime.
Yeah, we noticed. My wife does miss Fox News and the other news channels. Yes, I know there are other sources online.
I do have amazon prime (sadly—supporting Bozos) but the complete Dark Shadows collection on DVD is $335. I was on episode 314... (queue the “read a book” crowd)
I watched maybe two episodes at a time since I have two full time jobs.
Amazon Prime has many of the episodes — most through Season 17 and sporadic for other seasons.
Amazon also has ‘purchase’ options.

Note that Amazon Prime has a tendency to revert their Prime streaming videos to pay, without notice.

I had a similar problem with Netflix. For years they had the original X-Files. I started watching and got to about the start of Season 3, and they removed the series. Now, I think it is only available on Hulu.
Yeah but I think that is the modern series sans Jonathan Frid.
An Android TV box or Amazon Firestick with Kodi installed or you can install it.
Justwatch.com/us is a good website to search for tv series and movies to find out which major streaming sources might have them and what the prices are.
Can you get it on fire tv or Hulu or one of the other platforms?
This is what I have so far:
Tivo
2 Rokus
Amazon Prime
I have been able to record one of my fav series, The Munsters on the Tivo. Hubs like M*A*S*H
I have Kodi installed on my phone and I screen mirror to the TV with some ripped content on my NAS
You want old cartoons, eh. Here’s hours and hours of Warner Brothers and other classics from the 30s, 40s and 50s => https://www.youtube.com/8thManDVDcom
This can be done on your computer (which has been done here for the time being) Have no clue how you might see on your television. The site has a number of tee vee series episodes, and some movies. A free site. Sorry, not checked to see what might be found there. Good Luck! Who knows Xtv might be returning at some point in time.
No, not a porn site. The channel offered different tv series episodes: Fraiser, X Files, Bob Newhart, among many others. It also offered local news stations in many large cities across the nation, as well as Fox News Channel, and some movies. Now that CBS is putting their shows on You Tube and able to charge for viewing them, this might be just one of the reasons Xtv has been stripped from service. Networks are milking the cow until she runs dry.
