I don’t think this is going to go too well for the NFL. There’s the story about CTE out there and now with an Aaron Hernandez connection. There is the pricing issue. There is a growing amount of negative coverage about the lack of benefit for communities. There are not as many Ray Lewis types out there, not as many feel-good stories. This has been going on for years, but it seems to be getting worse. This might not go so well, especially if they come out of a verbal tussle with Trump looking like a bunch of primadonnas (which is a very old criticism they do not need to give confirmation for all to see).
Tomorrow should be interesting.
The media has made it okay to lambast the President. They never would have criticized the past president because of his color... political correct to a T.. .. but get an honest one in the oval office and they go ballistic.
Just think.... clinton had his teenager in the oval office serving him... plus all the other women.. and his druggy brother... obama set up the most crime infested administration ever... spied on citizens, used the power of the government against the people... all the departments in the government are corrupted/infested.. congress sits on their laurels... doing nothing to curb the crime in our government... and the media/left give all that a nod... just don’t be a Trump or a Trump voter. The NFL is going to find out REALLY fast what happens when their ratings end up being down 30% or more from their 2015 season peak. Literal pandering to the social justice warrior crowd will result in massive TV ratings losses and likely lower attendance--all within the next month. And that could be the end of Roger Goodell and his lieutenants at the NFL league offices.
