Sour grapes for the socialists, communists, and pedophile mayor of Seattle. Amazon is expanding elsewhere to the corporate-hating government of Seattle, along with their clueless denizens. Not that I am a fan of Amazon or Bezos, but I wish both sides would lose here.

Obamanomics: 50,000 new jobs will cause a homeless explosion.

The homeless were living on all that prime real estate?

This girl is an idiot. The only reason Amazon is moving part of its headquarters is transportation infrastructure. They simply cannot hire people that are willing to commute to Lake Union from anywhere. They were planning on hiring 17000 more people in the Lake Union area and it is simply not doable. I get offers to interview them once a week and I live on the Kitsap peninsula and worked in Redmond at Microsoft for 13 years.
As the liberal idiots here spend all their money on light rail, highway infrastructure has been abandoned. Bezos realizes it and wants a place he can expand. Seattle is full.

Salt Lake is a on a major transportation corridor, and has more than a few Universities.
Denver? Maybe not.
Kansas City. Maybe, lots of transportation links.
Spokane? Labor issues would be likely.
Be fun to see who ‘wins’ the lottery - and the massive increases to the public not involved in this business.
Because I’ll guarantee that the one real thing Amazon is looking for is *tax breaks* - big, honking, multi-year tax breaks.

Seattle’s Communists need a scapegoat to blame their failed policy on. They know the Seattle residents will swallow anything they are told. I am seeing a special tax to be handed Amazon with the blessings of the tax-the-rich crowd.

Ever notice that homelessness are in big or cultural elitist cities run by progressives? Why can’t conservatives expose this paradox?

Socialists are complete freaks and worthless to society. The answer to most everything in communities are good jobs and companies that bring in revenue. I would suggest every homeless and other unemployed apply to Amazon (Fulfillment):good wage, full benefits day one and other perks. Pass drug and background and there you go. I get that corporations can be a pain in the ass and most CEOs (like Amazon's) are big libs and donors who contribute to BS causes but a job makes a person whole;it gives a person self worth.
I know the jury is out on if the economy is getting better but I do know that a ton of jobs are opening up and companies are building and expanding at a rapid rate . The Democrats and Socialists absolutely do not want this even if it is a mega company like Amazon right in their backyard.

Real question— just what productive work would be received by amazon if it really hired another 50,009 office workers? Wth would, could that many added paper- pushers do for the firm all at once? Even big successful firms like dont suddenly need 50,009 additional office workers ? Even the people’s republic of china doesn’t hire that many new office denizens all at once. What’s really going on ?

I thought Memphis,Tennessee was the population center of the lower 48 states. Both UPS and Fed Ex have got major hubs there. Would it make sense to locate near there?!
