I fired one similar except it had more of a pistol grip. The recoil was brutal. Not for me at all.
Others seem to like them so I will not say not to try it. Maybe you will like it.
I can’t imagine a 12 gauge not shouldered....
I have a 590a1. It kicks like a mule. I cannot imagine shooting one with just a pistol grip. The first shot might be on target... the second one mont be.
ATF says it’s a handgun. It was made with a sub-18” bbl and an OAL under 26”. If you had one and modified it to regular length shot gun you would be violating the rules... Indeed,12 ga is handful, and certainly not the ideal PD qeaon.
I have one with a pistol grip and I press it into my hip to shoot it.
I definitely try to get the lightest loads I can for it.
Yea, looks a little brutal on the wrist to me too.
Read a write up on this gun where the author said he fired many mini-12 rounds consecutively. These were buck shot rounds. He said 2 3/4 were more than he wanted and could not imagine 3 1/4s. The minis also had good patterns at closer ranges as would be in home defense.
Gotta get me one of these -- and re-grip it...
Yeah, so did I, on my Mossy 500. First thing I did was put the shoulder stock back on it, where it resides today. And for the same reason. But oh, my, that's a lot of firepower in a small package.
