Might have to check those out if money ever comes my way.
It is classified by the BATFE as a "firearm." It has an overall length longer than 26", was not designed to be fired from the shoulder (no shoulder stock,) and it was never at one time a shotgun.
If you want to put a shoulder stock on it, you must first purchase a $200 NFA tax stamp, fill out the Form 2 paperwork, and wait the 9-12 months for the BATFE to issue you the stamp.
If you don't go through the tax stamp process first, you're creating a short barrel shotgun and have committed a felony.
My mistake. It’s the shortest legal model in the 500 series. Ghost ring sights, synthetic stock. I love it. Great little shotgun.

I speak from some unhappy experience (my nose finally straightened out, sorta). Done with no-stock shotguns.
The folks who mentioned wrists are right on the money for mortals. Guys who wrist curl 100lbs don't need to worry but 'just folks' will be entertained for a short time. After that it just hurts.
Just cause it will chamber a 3" doesn't mean you have to do it.
“”Is this the ultimate home defense weapon, other than a Claymore mine?””
About as useless as it can be, a novelty gun kind of like the Judge. A good riot style shotgun is much more effective.
It might be, if you teamed it up with these:

How is it different than a Mossy 500?
Bead sights never really made sense to me.
“Be very very careful if you try to use the sights.”
Mine is fitted with a standard stock so sights are quite useful. I use it when I shoot 3 gun. With 7-1/2 shot I can knock a small plate over at 40 feet or so.

Have they fixed the fatigue issues with it?
That's what I thought.
Thanks and FReegards!
Is that you, Tony Clifton?
Yep. Put s stock on it and you'd have a SBR and illegal without a special permit.
It's time for the GOP to show their gratitude to the pro-2A voters who help send them to DC. Repeal the NFA!
Just don't tell anybody 'cause I want one too; gotta replace the one dad left to me and my brother, which my brother has at his place. Just don't mess with the barrels, etc, which is unfortunately fashionable in some circles, particularly among certain internet commandos who post blog bait here at FR.
You'll find that it shoulders perfectly and shoots just fine just the G-d made it.
Function meets form. Beauty in it simplicity
Yeah, so did I, on my Mossy 500. First thing I did was put the shoulder stock back on it, where it resides today. And for the same reason. But oh, my, that's a lot of firepower in a small package.
I don’t know for sure but I think it has now gone through its second round of upgrades for problem issues like the typical Kel-Tec gee-whiz stuff.
The main thing is that the bull-pup configuration is much better for a hall sweeper than the stockless subject of this thread.
I actually have a 12 gauge pump that I have had for fifty years — it belonged to my granddad. It feels like an appendage I was born with.
The other shotguns I have at various locations such as a youth 410 that I have had a similar timespan and I could shoot it from the hip. Additionally the wife has a 20 gauge sized for her petite frame with a “cadet” stock. Pistol grip shotguns fired on the move will end up on the floor.
Snubbies or small 9s will get me to a long gun -—shotgun or rifle.
If they are done fixing the design issues yeah i like their design. Make it semi auto and i would no hesitation buy it 100%. Good for intense situations to have a semi auto shotgun that holds 7-8.
