Hillary Clinton might be a little late to the Wonder Woman party, but she definitely made up for it at her special screening of the blockbuster film this weekend.
On Sunday, the Alamo Drafthouse's Brooklyn location tweeted a photo of a smiling Bill and Hillary Clinton with some of the theater's employees, writing, "Honored to have hosted @HillaryClinton & @billclinton last night for a special screening of WONDER WOMAN!" The screening has been a long time coming: In a video message at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles in June, Hillz expressed her desire to see the record-breaking film which has grossed more than $700 million worldwide since its May release and compared herself to the iconic superhero. "No, I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, but I'm going to, in part because it's directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins," Clinton said. "Something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley."

The movie theater was the perfect place for the Clintons to see the film. Prior to Wonder Woman's May release, an Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, received a mixture of praise and criticism for scheduling a series of all-female screenings of the movie. "Apologies, gentlemen, but we're embracing our girl power and saying 'No Guys Allowed' for one special night at the Alamo Ritz," the Austin theater wrote on Facebook at the time. "And when we say 'Women (and People Who Identify As Women) Only,' we mean it. Everyone working at this screening venue staff, projectionist, and culinary team will be female." Countless men immediately commented on the post to complain about so-called reverse discrimination. "Sexist Aholes! Women always complain about equal rights and now you make a movie showing just for women? Dang hypocrites!" one impassioned man wrote.
Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins even weighed-in on the controversy, telling "The Frame" radio show in June that, "I actually have sort of mixed feelings about all of that only because I do believe in not excluding anyone from anything," she shared. "On the one hand, I'm so delighted by those screenings and want people to be able to have those screenings. On the other hand, I can imagine being offended if I'm excluded from those screenings, particularly because Wonder Woman herself has a very, very passionate fan base, many of whom are men. And many of whom are men who are disenfranchised from their own gender or their own identity. And I would never want to leave them out of anything, you know?"
But, like Clinton, Jenkins was happy that the film was helping women celebrate their strength. "I could switch to either side of the argument, but I certainly think it's wonderful," she said. "There have not been that many female-skewed things and certainly there have been many, many male. So I celebrate that."
Did Hillary have one hand up her caftan every time the star was on the screen?

The imagineering is overwhelming.
I’ll bet Huma didn’t go, since the lead was an Israeli Jew.
On the other hand, she would have ate it up.
Well then, the lead actress has got to be a left wing self hating Israeli Jew, or Hillary will be supporting someone not PC.
“It’s the perfect venue,” said Hillary, “the carpet was delicious.”
bada-bing:)
I thought Hillary was Wonder Woman, because she is still Wondering why a Woman didn’t win the election...
Someone on her (dwindling, underpaid, abused) Staff told her about the movie and Hillary! heard, ‘LOSER Woman’ and thought it was the story of her life in film!
*SNORT*
No surprise there since many of the waitstaff are gay.
I am surprised Hillary wouldn’t have some abject fear regarding a hero armed with a lasso that forces one to tell the truth.
Shrillary comparing herself to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman has to be one of the most vomit-inducing moments among so many in the Clintonista political nightmare.
Of course Hillary is Wonder Woman - she’s still wondering how she lost that election.

Afterward they went to the Clinton Library and Massage Parlor to meet a couple of hookers.
Did that fat-assed, fake paraplegic, diabetic, neck-bearded, ginger Leftard man-child Harry Knowles photobomb the pic?
LOL! I just sprayed my drink all over the computer screen.
The thought of a carpet-munching Hillary is not a pleasant picture....but your line was delivered perfectly. Hilarious! :-)
I used to read Harry’s website a long time back when I first heard about it. Once in a blue moon I take a look. His website reminds of absolute Chaos when I see it.
That said, is there a sane equivalent to the Alamo Drafthouse? That is, one that isn’t beholden to the left?
