In an effort to keep the estimated 13 million gun owners in California supplied with a state-compliant MSR, FN on Monday announced two new FN-15 rifles.
The models, the FN 15 Tactical Carbine II CA and FN 15 DMR II CA, both use Hera CQR featureless stocks and 10-round Magpul PMAGs in a nod to the states new laws on so-called assault weapons.
Many of Californias pro-gun residents have had very limited options in terms of what they could purchase because of the state-imposed regulations on firearms, said John Keppeler, vice president of sales and marketing for FN America, in a statement. FN saw Californias market as an opportunity to expand the FN 15 line.
Both guns use a hard-anodized aluminum flat-top receiver, M1913 top rail, and M-LOK handguards. Each come standard with a Surefire ProComp 556 muzzle brake.
The Tactical model uses a 16-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined free-floating barrel with a mid length gas system and what FN bills as their Combat Trigger.

Just a matter of time before they ban the black color of these guns for being too scary-looking and "lethal."

Oh look now you gave the liberals in Sacramento another idea!
So what capability are these guns missing?
And none of those dangerous handles that increase the rate of fire.
I’d actually love one of those. I got a pink camera and a pink phone case, thinking my husband and son would quit “borrowing” them. It worked!
John M. Browning! What a monstrosity! If FN were smart, they would NOT sell ANYTHING to CA unless the citizens can get the same.
.
Ugly!
And childish, really.
I’ll gladly stick with my hardwood stock rifles.

50 round mags?
.
You mean the 'Fully Automatic Kill Everything Within 5000 Meters' Switches?..................
Those are UGLY!
Is still too SCAARY LOOKING! Ban it!
And what’s up with that weird looking stock? Looks like you could not get your had around the “pistol grip” either.
Hey,
some of us live here and appreciate what *VERY* little ANYBODY is willing to do for us. not everyone had the option to leave so BS like suggesting companies ‘screw all Californians’ makes me want to give such statements a bit FU.
NRA is useless and so is everyone else, some A-Holes are more worried about N korea or Iran than their fellow americans (who are doing what they can here).
So to anyone with the sentiment that Californians should be punished merely because we live here, go to hell.
My son encountered a small shepherd boy in Iraq who had an AK with a “featureless stock”. In fact, it had no stock - busted off. The kid dragged it around on the ground by the barrel.
Slap a nice hand made wood stock and fore end on it.
As an 07FFL 02 SOT, I wouldn't sell a gun lock to CA as I don't want to deal with your antigun, anti capitalist AG who has the resources to come after my interest.....so I stay out of CA, NJ, HI, MA, CT, MD, IL and NY completely.
Get out while you can IMHO and enjoy freedom in a free state if you want to RKBA. CA is damn near lost anyways, and as far as RKBA goes, I don't know how you put up with the nonsense. I would have been gone in 1989-1994 B.S.
For the handle, simply drill a few holes where the thumb would go, knock the insert out, finish and smooth with a Dremel pencil grinder. Once done, you have increased the rate of fire to 5000 rounds per minute, caused a “pig sticker” to suddenly fit the end, and made it super scary!
Or is it the filled in stock that eliminates the pistol grip, which is illegal?
