Rep. Mark Meadows, a key negotiator in the effort to repeal and replace Obamacare, said a new effort is underway to write a bill that can pass the Senate that would include proposals offered by Sens. Lindsey Graham, Bill Cassidy, Ted Cruz, and Rob Portman.
"We continue to work on two different plans with our Senate colleagues," Meadows, R-N.C., told the Washington Examiner. "We will continue to do that over the next couple of weeks on a plan that can get to 51" votes in the Senate.
Meadows said he has talked to senators, including Graham, in the hours after this morning's failure to pass a "skinny" repeal bill, and the mood is "all hands on deck" to come up with a new deal....

Put money in for PP and see if the girls bite....
Okay McCain aka “traitor of the people”.....what’s your solution?
Or Syrian “refugee families.”
If 48 Dems and 3 Republicans vote together as just happened, you have your 51. You have a lousy bill but it will pass the Senate.
But, will McCain be able to vote coherently?

Honey badger don't quit.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Cancel the individual mandate or else!
Obamacare will not be repealed.
‘Okay McCain aka traitor of the people.....whats your solution?’
When Obama is president, give him everything he wants.
When Trump is president, return to regular order and accomplish nothing at all, ever. (Except comprehensive immigration reform; McCain told Schumer he’d really like to get that done.)
its all on the rats...
Looking for this Congress to fix Obamacare is a waste of time. After the midterms, maybe their replacements will be more amenable to working with Trump. Meanwhile he has all the justification he needs to use Executive Orders to do whatever he can for the American people.
And the exclusion for legislators and friends.
“...put money in for PP and see if the girls bite...”
I am sure that those horrible women and McCain voted no to repeal to keep the abortion train rolling. Pure evil that the all of America is held hostage to Obamacare so we the people taxpayers are forced to continue to fund abortions.
Evil.
Repeal is simple:
Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.
Republicans will not repeal ACA. They will fight to maintain it, improve it, give it all the TLC it needs to survive.
Count on it.
Fox News replayed McInsane’s campaign commercial in which he says (paraphrasing) I will LEAD the fight to repeal and replace Obamacare.
But then he has brain cancer. His brain is not working 100%.
Well, I’ll be astounded if they pass any bill that contains Ted’s amendment. For one thing, the establishment boys don’t want Ted to get his name on any bill that might be viewed as a success. And, secondly, Ted’s amendment is too blatantly free market based to suit them, as they are terrified of the dem and media narrative that 20 million people will lose their health insurance. The RINOs simply do not trust the free market and do not have the cajones to defend such plans.
“Obamacare will not be repealed.”
True, but that is the beauty of Ted’s amendment. It just stipulates that there can be simpler free market health plans sold alongside Obamacare plans! People will choose the simpler, more affordable plans and Obamacare withers on the vine.
Add $100 million funding for ISIS and you’ll get McCain’s vote.
F U John McCain. Curl up and die.
