Hitler saw the Brits as cousins and really didn’t want to fight them.

He could have ended it all, right there, had he choosen.

He stayed his hand and later paid for it.

the strategic petroleum reserve should be sold off, all 700 million barrels. Just like trump reccomends.

sell it off gradually over 7 years

However, von Ribbentrop, hated the Brits, since he wasn't invited to all the nice parties when he was Ambassador to Britain, and gradually convinced Hitler to fight the British.
