So for the convenience of a few law enforcement agencies, lets just surrender our rights to defend ourselves. That has worked out so well throughout history....
If one goes thru the trouble to acquire a proper handgun license, then it should be accepted across state lines as this is afterall, the Constitution of the UNITED STATES not just the state in which you reside.
Not a good enough argument. What is really going on is that Red States are licensing people for concealed carry, and Blue States, such as California, New York, Illinois, Minnesota are making it extraordinarily restrictive to hold a concealed carry license, thereby denying the right to carry.
This is about the Blue States trying to force their way upon the rest of us. Under the 2nd Amendment, and if I am licensed in my state, that's it, I should be able to carry in a Blue State.
California and others can get out of this by simply banning all ccw’s in their state.
Which commie is funding this bs group? SorozNazi or Bloomberg or? To hell with them all!!!
Here’s the way to fix this from the grassroots.
First off, you find out who comprises the National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence. Fortunately, their website states it clearly on the very first page:

Next, start researching if your local chief and/or senior officers and/or various aggrieved minority command officers are members of the above organizations. If so, start making noise with your local council representative that taxpayer funds are being expended for political purposes and you want it stopped. Extend this to your state legislative representatives as it relates to state LE agency personnel, too.
If you think the 2A means what it says and the reciprocity measure in Congress is the way to ensure it happens, then this is the only way you can overcome it. This type of group carries weight in Washington so it has to be cut off at its financial knees.

BS- it hasn’t ‘sown chaos’ in any state that does allow it-
I’ll probably get blasted for this but I don’t care.
Certain states are more relaxed on CCW requirements than others. SC and GA for example. That’s why we don’t have reciprocity between our two states.
I personally think some people out there need to know the law and how to load, aim and shoot straight before they become a danger to the public. We have a lot of really dumb people out there who think they know everything because they like cop shows. I consider these idiots dangerous, more so with a loaded gun in public.
Training is so important.
Nothing new.
Police chiefs are political animals, that continue to make political decisions that are detrimental to the rank and file police officers safety.
The IACP is pro-gun control and, big-city chiefs wanted Hillary to win.

One of the realities of law enforcement is that higher-level police brass are typically more interested in protecting their own power and advancing their own careers than they care at all about the realities officers face on the street. That detached and self-serving mindset is probably behind a new recommendation by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (and allegedly some other law enforcement organizations) that law enforcement officers should be allowed to fire warning shots.

Obama Pushes Gun Control, but Americans Oppose Assault Weapons Ban

President Obama continues to lobby for more federal and state gun-control laws, particularly for “assault weapons.” In fact, he specifically mentioned “assault weapons” during an October 27 speech, stating, “That’s why the IACP [International Association of Chiefs of Police ] believes we shouldn’t sell military-style assault weapons to civilians. They don’t need them. They don’t need them to hunt a deer.”
I always ask this question of the opponents of this type of action: Why is my marriage license and my driver’s license valid in all 50 states, but my carry permit is not? Only one of these is guaranteed by the constitution.
Pencil-pushing politically appointed cops are not your friend.
