Donald Trump vs. CNN: How the President Is Trolling the Media Into Oblivion
Newsweek ^ | July 7, 2017 | Zach Schonfeld

Posted on 07/09/2017 4:17:15 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The president of the United States of America is a “sh*tposter.”

It’s not an elegant turn of phrase. But it is, I think, the correct terminology to capture a political moment so monstrously stupid that even Jerry Springer finds it embarrassing. To sh*tpost, according to the scholarly journal Urban Dictionary, is to “make utterly worthless and inane posts on an internet message board,” particularly those involving memes or low-quality visuals.

And the president’s latest act of sh*tposting—tweeting out a video edited to show Trump wrestling, and beating up, the CNN logo—has flung the 24-hour news network into a week-long controversy involving death threats, claims of blackmail and a Reddit user who calls himself “Han@$$holeSolo.” It’s very hard to imagine having to explain that sentence to a person from 2007. But frankly, it’s also pretty hard to explain that sentence to a normal person from 2017 who doesn’t spend every waking moment following incremental developments in Trump’s blustery war with the media. (Which, probably, is healthy.)

Now, a week after Trump’s tweet, CNN is accused of blackmailing the Reddit user behind the wrestling clip, and the network’s journalists (and even some of their families) are being subjected to threats and harassing phone calls from pro-Trump trolls and Redditors. Curiously, the line from the CNN story that was interpreted as blackmail (a stretch) wasn’t written even by the reporter. According to Gizmodo, it was added by a CNN executive as a legal safeguard, but the threatening tone proved disastrous. But as the #CNNBlackMail hashtag spread through the alt-right this week, things got ugly.....

Zach Schonfeld doesn’t seem to mind “shitposting.”

He does it every day as a [profession.

Sh1tposting is and art and a science. If President Trump employs a peaceful tactic that forces the enemy Pravda media to expose itself then it is something that he is obligated, even required to do. Politics ain’t beanbag and patriotis need to win this war.

“What a year this has been so far! Thanks, DJT! “

Agree!

The msm is starting to crumble en mass....

...FINALLY!!

Americans have been waiting for years for a msm shakeup.

It took Trump to make it happen.

For this to be a rational argument, Schonfeld would have to be asserting that CNN is an innocent non-partisan.

Trump is clearly battling political enemies, who labor under the fraudulent color of First Amendment protection.

I hope he destroys them, and that future ‘journalists’ take heed.

“CNN and much of the media bite — hook, line, and sinker.”

You forgot the sh*t, they bit that too; in fact, they swallowed it!

Some of you may remember David “Deacon” Jones from the 1960s. He was arguably the best defensive end in pro football history and his signature move was the “head slap”, a karate-like punch to the offensive tackle’s noggin right off the snap.
It was disorienting and while the lineman tried to regain his balance and his setting, Jones had already blown past him on the way to the opposing quarterback.

This is what Trump continues to do with the media, the Democrats and his critics. His tweets and his off-the-cuff comments are meant to be head slaps that stun the opposition and set them off balance. Once the opposition has recovered, they would realize that Trump has just gone past them and got his agenda done while they are just left stunned and looking foolish.

Just watch him in action. In circumstance after circumstance for the past two years, he head slaps opponents, particularly the media, and moves on through. Don’t pay attention to what he SAYS - which is entertaining enough - watch what he DOES and what he’s done is put much of his agenda in place in the first six months.

Yes, ObamaCare and The Wall are still ahead and so is a huge tax cut but he’ll get them done.

The more the left screams we are not irrelevant, the more they become irrelevant.

It’s a simple control algorithm. ...but the left can not regulate their response.

So the left flies out of control repeatedly, holding meetings and conferences to try to sort it out.

...but in the end, the left is always overwhelmed by their superiority complex. They lose. Over and over. ...and rightfully so.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think that all of us know that CNN will remain on the scene, especially in airports around the world because it , along with the BBC, is the voice of our masters.
