Authorities in Florida say a man hid his wife's body in a freezer so he could continue collecting her Social Security benefits.
The U.S. Attorneys Office says, Margaret Dunn died at her home in Sun City Center, Fla. in 2002 and Allan Dunn placed her body in the freezer. He then collected her Social Security benefits until he died in 2010.
In all, he improperly collected $92,088 in federal Social Security benefits.
According to authorities, upon his death, Mr. Dunns sole asset of value was the condominium unit where he and his wife had resided. His heirs, who were unaware that he had concealed his wifes death, agreed to waive their rights to inherit the condominium and to sell it.

I like Joe aKenda and his show its really a fresh take on crime show he is a relly intresting guy
I poked for the California Youth Authority. Circa 1985, A ward in the institution in Chino, received social security checks, survivors benefits. He was an orphan. He was an orphan because he killed his parents.
An accountant caught it. How can this guy get social security? four days later the issue was on the governors desk. Two months later, the benefit was held back if you killed your parents.
poked=worked LOL
Bet she had freezer burn.
In the article posted from tbo.com (the Tampa Bay Times) from 2011, indicates that the caretaker woman was granted authority to sell the belongings and the condo in March of 2011. The man shot himself in 2010 (unsure of the month). The woman and her sister came to clean the house as the article states on the
“Tuesday” the week prior to the article publishing.
They were cleaning the condo when her sister found the body— this would be March of 2011. What is notable is that the article indicates the electricity had been turned off in November of 2010. So, the body in the freezer had no doubt, defrosted and.....etc. in the 5 months leading up to the discovery. Had to have been pretty unpleasant, unless they got the power turned on to clean the place, turn on the a/c, and the freezer re-froze the.... remains. Just weird, but a challenge for the forensics people/coroner.
Thanks.
Pension fraud is rampant in Japan, where many have collected a deceased's pension for decades.
Incidentally, Japan has the highest life expectancy of any other nation....

Are we SURE that she was dead when she was put in the freezer?
I actually know the son. The father was a total A-hole and he had estranged himself from the family so they never came to visit. The neighbors were told she was visiting relatives in another state if asked.
I am surprised to read about it again. I know there was a lot of legalities having to do with the estate and ownership of the condo as the immediate heirs had some deaths and some grandkids were then involved so many times it was difficult to get all the signatures on the quit claim deed etc.
He got asked at least 3 times to sign different legal documents and eventually just stopped cooperating as there was no ‘benefit’ to him to take the time as the legal eagles were continuously screwing up and he figured why bother any more.
Still a piker. Here’s a report from 2015 about a New Jersey man who collected his dead father’s benefits for 29 years, pocketing over $200K.
(At least he didn’t keep Dad in the freezer)
And here’s a guy in San Diego who collected almost $300K in benefits from his deceased parents.

This scam is far too common—and the number of prosecutions and arrests is far too low.
Cold Ethyl...she’s his paradise.
LMAO.
“Cool Runnings”
“Cool Cash”!
Wrapped in newspaper.
And I’m one of them. But it would be irresponsible for me to not have at least ONE doctor’s visit to check for blood pressure, and one blood test every year to make sure my thyroid, glucose, cholesterol, liver, lymph system, and kidneys are working well. If a live 92-year-old hasn’t visited the doctor in 8 years, that’s a BIG-RED-FLAG.
