That would be good, because the books stink. Usually, it is the other way around, but not in this case.
The books were not up to the series although I did appreciate the humor in the book I did read.
I actually enjoy the books much more, far more depth in the characters in the books and more humor.
Me and the wife loved it when it was on A&E and got Netflix just to watch it when it moved, but the move was not for the better in our estimation, Longmire got too dark and broody with Walt seeming to become paranoid about everyone almost to the point of madness. The episode where he went to the bar and started the fight with Henry over his delusions was it for us and we stopped watch.
I agree with you. I read a couple of the books and they weren’t that good. I was surprised they got picked up for a TV show
After watching a few episodes I tried one of the books. I only made a chapter. I can tolerate some language but that was gratuitous. The screen version is obviously heavily modified from the books. Too bad season 6 is the end.
