Well, they employ only fake journalists, so fake followers are just a logical extension.
When Trump announced he was running 2 years ago Trump had 3 million on twitter and CNN 31 million.
Trump is growing on Twitter at the rate of 2 million per month. Trump is now at 33 million and until about 2 or 3 months ago CNN was still at 31 million and then overnight CNN jumped over 50 million. So CNN wants us to believe they grew from 30 million to 50 million in just 2-3 months.
It seemed real fishy to me.
Does their fake tv audience include those of us subjected to their fake news at every damn airport? Seriously, how does this get fixed?

I have no interest in how many Twits follow CNN, Madonna, Hillary or even President Trump. #of followers is just another meaningless and contrived statistic.

Phony identities is an old internet trick. A company hires a propaganda operation where a handful of operatives set up millions of false identities which are used to undermine enemies. This happens a lot. I personally know of a ngo that was attacked by several hundred online posters. The ngo hired a tech firm to investigated and the hundreds of identities traced back to 3 people, disgruntled ex-employees who were fired for theft.
The millions of twitter accts that attacked people who opposed gay marriage? Same thing. Most identities are fictitious.
