First lady Melania Trump is standing by President Donald Trump's Thursday morning tweets criticizing MSNBC's "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski.
"As the First Lady has stated publicly in the past, when her husband gets attacked, he will punch back 10 times harder," the first lady's communications director Stephanie Grisham said in a statement to CNN when asked about the tweets.
Speaking about her husband's social media habits in an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes" just after the election, Melania Trump said that sometimes it got him in trouble, "but it helped a lot, as well."
Asked whether she spoke up if she felt he crossed a line, the first lady said, "Yes, I tell him all the time."
But she conceded that at the end of the day, he does what he wants.....

LOL. CNN trying to redirect attention...
They’re trying to spin this as Trump cyber-bullying Mika and Joe.
Russia Russia Russia is played out.
They’re back to Trump as a sexist and bully.
Wow, a Man and Woman who don't fold like cheap suits the moment they receive the slightest resistance and instead push back harder.
Nice try, Betsy, but no cigar.......................
I hope he comes out harder, more to the point and directly knocks the heck out of both of them...
She is a ‘no body’ trying to be a ‘some body’ and Joe isn't still cleared of the ‘dead intern found on his desk when he was in D.C.’ so if the shoe fits Mika and Joe wear it...
I have this feeling we are reaching a crescendo with the imploding and hysterical media. Simultaneous combustion.
Let us hope for a return to much more objective journalistic standards. Corporate greed at the top of these media conglomerates allows this vicious attack on our president, for ratings and for advertising cash increases based on it.
That’s one of the absolute best photos of Melania I’ve seen to date. Red becomes her and I like the American flag purse.
There never was objectivity in political reporting...or even reporting about non-political sensational news. Objectivity is a lie propagated by and for the media to burnish their credentials and obtain undeserved respect from the public. Back in the day, what we now call mainstream media had vastly more outlets, each with their own editorial point of view. So the public was able to get a range of political opinion and reporting. That gradually changed in the TV era, with only three networks, plus the gradual loss of many newspapers. The Internet has restored the opportunity to consume opinions from a wide variety of sources, but TV news is still controlled by closet communists.
You are absolutely correct. I read that over 50% still get there news from TV, however, which explains why Trump’s favorables are not even higher.
Even in Watergate, Ben Bradley enforced the old time standards requiring two real live on-the-record sources. Reporters back then could choose to go to jail rather than reveal them, but they had them.
Today, there are no standards or consequences for which reporters bother to be concerned. As you say, thankfully there is an alternative to TV news, or we would already be Venezuela.
Amazingly, this is actually a very positive article from CNN.
Bump!
Gorgeous.
