What is the real motive behind the left’s mad rush to remove Donald Trump from office?
1) To remove what liberals claim to be a loose cannon from a position of almost limitless power?
2) To prevent America meddling with the Paris Accord?
3) To secure the blessings of ObamaCare?
No.
The true purpose is to teach the American voter that stepping out of line, taking charge of an election, making a president of someone unacceptable to the majority of politicos, college professors and news readers is simply not acceptable. In short, the left must correct the dangerous notion that ‘We the American People’ should have any say in the running of our nation.
The people got far too uppity in 2016. Defeating the establishment candidate made it appear that our will might actually count for something! Could anything be more ridiculous? It was a childish little foray into ‘grown-up land’ which made it necessary for the truly important people to take action.
Sure…we are sometimes permitted to believe that our opinions matter; that freedom still exists; that the Constitution is still adhered to; that elections are honestly run. BUT, when we step too far out of line by overturning the will of the powerful, we must accept the hard lesson that our decisions may be at any time summarily reversed.
After all, if the American public were permitted to exercise any real authority, the centuries of authority enjoyed by the self-infatuated class might come to nothing. And we can’t have that!

I don’t know if ‘uppity’ is all that accurate.
I would say that we finally and collectively said “We’re mad as hall and we’re not going to take it anymore!”.

I’d say it was more about protecting themselves for being held accountable for their crimes.
But is rather Us vs. Them. The left sees Trump as capable of the same level of power that they thought they would have had Mrs Bill won. It is the power itself and not policy that drives the Left. Policy is the means to the end. Their actual Rule would not look anything like their adherents believe, even the crazies.
It has everything to do with covering up the multitude of crimes of Democrats -- which they thought would be covered by Hillary's election.
Now there is panic among the communist Democrats.
That and removing their source of wealth/power.

This is all perfectly true, though ironically there was a time when it was conservatives who were elitist, anti-populist, and distrusted the direct, unmediated rule of the majority (the Federalists, for example).
The Clinton Machine/Crime Syndicate thought it was all in the bag a year before the primaries. They were that confident with Gore also. They are corrupt,petulant, power hungry socialists and grifters in a political party that has been exposed.
The real reason to destroy America is to keep the DEMONRATS in power. If the real stories hit the front pages, the RAT party is finished. How many headlines have you seen recently where:
Hillary's email/classified information handling FELONIES are discussed?
How many stories where CNN gave questions to Hillary before the debates?
How many stories about the illegal releasing of names and conversations from illegal surveillance activities by Susan Rice and other RAT criminals?
How many stories have you seen recently about John Podesta's planned hot tub outings with children as young as 7 years old?
The RAT strategy is working! Bury the real stories under false headlines like Russia. It really is easy to fool Americans when you own the presstitutes.
The desire to destroy Trump is from due to shock on finding out that the the Revolution which they thought was Complete, due to the inevitability of their winning the election, being harshly contradicted. Their irrational fear is that if they do not reverse this development soon that they have permanently lost their attainment of Utopia which had been Progressing on schedule since the 60s.
I can’t agree with the article (or at least the headline). I think the anti-Trump attacks have everything to do with policy. They seek to weaken public confidence in Trump so that cowardly legislators will not support his agenda of reform, tax cuts, economic growth, health insurance reform, immigration reform, curtailing Islamization of the US, combatting ISIS, and generally draining the swamp that feeds them. They have been successful in poisoning relations with Russia to the point that improvement is practically impossible, which amounts to playing into China’s hands by rendering triangulation unworkable. The Dems theme for the 2018 elections will be that Trump and the Repubs haven’t accomplished anything because Trump is embroiled in all these scandals. They’ll omit to say that the scandals were fakes generated by the Dems.

I think the author is on to something.
Think of the concessions that Pres. Trump has made with numerous appointments from inside the CFR/Goldman-Sachs swamp. If predicted a year ago, Trump would have been seen on FR as a sellout and typical Northeastern Republican liberal. Instead, the President garners scorn from the MSM and death threats from Hollywood. AMAZING!
Tells me that Hillary’s election was intended as a straightforward Leftist coup d’etat and the Leninist intelligentsia is outraged.
