Donald Trump Is Causing Problems At Disney World

Even the most magical place on Earth isn't immune to President Donald Trump.

Those familiar with Walt Disney World in Florida know that the park is home to an attraction called the Hall of Presidents. Inside, there are animatronic (read: robot) versions of every single president of the United States, ever. The problem? Ever since the Clinton administration, the sitting president's robotic stand-in has had a speaking role. According to Vice's Motherboard, Disney's Imagineers don't know how they can incorporate President Trump into what's supposed to be a celebration of American values with his "hateful speech, misogyny, racism, and xenophobia."

"Given how polarizing the president is right now, Disney Parks & Resorts is currently trying to find [a solution] that approaches middle ground," a source told Motherboard. "They want to include our 45th commander-in-chief in this 45-year-old theme park attraction, while at the same time, not seem to endorse or support some of Trump's more controversial policies. Walt Disney World might elect to push the attraction's opening date back to the fall and then make further tweaks to the show."

Back in November, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that President Trump would be included in the attraction, but he didn't mention whether or not Trump would join the likes of Barack Obama and George H.W. Bush and actually record a speech for the Hall of Presidents. The AV Club notes that Disney has contacted the White House regarding the inclusion of President Trump back in January, but it hasn't received an official response yet. In the past, Disney executives Pamela Fisher and Kathy Rogers flew to the White House to record each president's closing remarks — a process that takes about 20 minutes total.

Motherboard speculates that the ride will most likely revert to its pre-1993 format, where there isn't a closing speech delivered by the sitting president. That'll cut the show from its current 23-minute run-time to just 15. That gives visitors more time to check out other things, the Imagineers said.

To make matters worse, like many other people, the Imagineers in charge of the Hall of Presidents were already deep into the process of creating a Hillary Clinton robot back in November. "They were convinced that Hillary was going to win," the source continued. "They were having conversations in late October and early November on how to dress her. 'Should it be the pantsuit she wore at the [Democratic] National Convention? Or should it be a darker color?' They were thinking along those lines. No one was giving any serious thought to it being Trump."

Disney is too expensive for all this B.S. It is a bad company that used H1B visas to fire people who trained foreign workers. It is a left wing company into propaganda. And I wouldn’t visit the hall of presidents because they had to add polarizing Obama.

Send that to Disney. Please. Better yet, hand-carry it there. Hand it to them.

YES!
The inaugural speech would be perfect.

Nothing new here. The Disney folks also waited several months after George W. Bush became president to install a Bush robot, because they didn’t like him either. As a former Orlando resident, I always preferred the original presentation anyway, where Abraham Lincoln gave the speech.

This all sounds like sour grapes to me. Trump never got back to them. And so he's never made a speech for the show.

It seems to me that instead of whining about Trump's imaginary profusion of "isms," they might try contacting him again?

Yeah.....nothing more hateful than “Make America Great Again” and “US Jobs for US Citizens” and “Nations must work together to remove the evil losers who commit terror”.

A couple of years ago, we decided to go to Disneyworld over the 4th of July holiday. The fireworks show was amazing, and quite patriotic. I believe it was narrated by none other than Walt Disney himself.

You make a good point. Snotty little liberals will almost certainly vandalize a Trump robot.

Disney is a PRO HOMO or what ever you are today promoter, not fit to be called a “CHILDREN’S” any thing any more or fit to be on Children’s Network TV...Heather has 2 Mommies...and more, Beauty and the Beast is another of their idiocy’s of indoctrination of our children, as if they don’t get enough of that in Public School already.

#8 Oh Lord, I remember that with crystal clarity. Replaying the Broward County vote fraud attempt in my mind like it happened back in 2000. When that attempt went down in flames, it was the turning point. It meant the margin of victory was so vast it could not be overcome without obvious, open fraud.

We have not watched anything Disney for many years. We also would not take the grandchildren there. I guess they may have missed out on some fun but we would not add to their liberal re-education. Thankfully our son & daughter-in-law have adhered to these principles. This allowed the grand kiddies to grow up and form their own opinions and make up their own minds.

I wonder what “American Values” they are talking about when they have No Problem having exhibits of Known Sexual Predators and Rapists like Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson???

How about having one at home. Then, like Harry Mudd in Star Trek, you could just say “Hillary, shut up!” and she obeys. Hopefully it won’t end like the episode with the 2020 version that can’t be shut off.

No NCAA bracket. No first pitch. No White House correspondents dinner. And now no Disney tourist trap speech. What’s next? Eating the official White House turkeys instead of pardoning them and eating turkeys #3 and #4? Trump just isn’t playing their game.

If they were able to do something positive for Clinton or Obama, there shouldn’t be ANY problem with Trump.
