Black students at Harvard to hold their own commencement ceremony:
Two days before Courtney Woods dresses in a cap and gown for Harvards traditional commencement, she will don a stole made of African kente cloth and address the crowd at a somewhat different event: a graduation ceremony for black students.
Student organizers said the event, called Black Commencement 2017, is the first university-wide ceremony for black students at Harvard and is designed to celebrate their unique struggles and achievements at an elite institution that has been grappling with its historic ties to slavery.
Because integration isnt good enough; they want their specialness acknowledged:
I can only imagine how special I will feel when I walk across that stage and be able to honor my identity and my struggle at Harvard, said Woods, who is completing a masters degree at the Graduate School of Education. I know this is exactly what students like me need to be inspired as we leave this place as emerging global leaders.
Is it just me or is this not the very definition of irony?
Insisting on something their grandparents marched and some even died for?
But the most important thing now is that they feel special because you see, its not that Jim Crow laws were wrong, its that they had the equation backwards.
The black community was rightfully angry when we lived in a country where things were separate but equal, but in todays society, everything must be separated for them to celebrate their unique struggles and the white students have to watch and be made aware of black excellence. Gateway Pundit
So one more time, a Tweet that unfortunately never seems to grow old:
History: its really what you make of it.
BTW, I understand William Jefferson Clinton is writing a revisionist autobiography too. Bound to be a barnstormer blockbuster.

You’re a snowflake!!!!
Well good for them, they found something to celebrate. They certainly can't celebrate (much less acknowledge) the historic and ongoing slavery existing today in most of the African continent. Easier to degrade a university.
How many black Harvard grads can there be? And how many are Affirmative Action students?
BFL
So basically there is no facts in history teaching anymore just whatever you want it to be.
Harvard is located in Boston , Ma , home of the Abolitionist movement
Slavery was not a part of Harvard history
hey...going back to segregation would make me happy, so if that’s what blacks want, let them have it
Will they soon be demanding their own drinking fountains?
Harvard was founded in 1636. I’m sure slavery IS back in it’s history.
Massachusetts was the first slave-holding colony in New England.

According to liberals, if Harvard was founded, run, and attended by white people, then Harvard supports and encourages slavery...
She’s an “emerging global leader.” Good to know. Maybe it will help her get her first job.
MA itself was the originator of slave exports and imports into the colonies starting in 1637, and the first colony to sell slaves to other colonies.
Harvard believes there were 4 slaves that worked at Harvard as part of the staffs of Pres. Benj. Wadsworth and Pres. Edw. Holyoke.

Or acknowledge that it is muslims doing the enslaving of their ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’... or that ME muslims consider blacks fit only to be slaves (no matter their religion).
