Rush: Why does anyone vote Republican, if the spending bill 'is what happens when we win?'

Good question...The spending bill is a disaster, and the blame game isn't going to cut it anymore

Yesterday morning, I discussed the atrocious spending bill that’s currently wriggling its way through Congress like a heartworm through a mangy dog. It appears that the GOP has, once again, caved to every imaginable Democrat demand because they’re simply too cowardly to fight for their alleged agenda. After winning the House, Senate, and Presidency, they put forth a plan that gives their opponents everything they wanted - and today, the Democrats are taking a victory tour of the news channels where they grin like Cheshire cats.

Chuck Schumer loves the plan, and that’s all you really need to know.

Significant increase in military funding was absolutely necessary and worth the tradeoffs this time.

In the end Trump is right, you either need to get 60 R senators, or else you need to get rid of the filibuster on legislation. I support the latter, myself.

Paul RINO to Rush: What do you mean "we", Paleface?

RINO doesn't see Rush as a Republican.

The Rats would still be grinning if the government had “shut down”. See how that works?

Yhup! Rino Ryan is a corporatist. He is only conservative when it means lowering the taxes of his business buddies. If that is the way it is going to be than they need to pay more taxes not less. You sell out than you shell out.

Massive debt and fake, Federal Reserve Dollars are impossible for any politicians or bureaucracy to resist, especially when they are so easy and cheap for Fed.gov to get, and seemingly without any consequences at all.

I’ve told you before about discussions that go on behind the scenes here at Cain HQ. One of the big ones centers around my ongoing belief that the GOP doesn’t really want the limited government they pretend to desire - at least, not enough of them do. They talk a good game, but I’d say about 1 in 20 congressional Republicans truly believe the rhetoric they spout. The rest quietly work to expand the federal beast, maintain or grow government power, and perpetually enrich their cushy, taxpayer-funded, lives.

We vote for them because they’re “not quite as bad” as the socialists and communists who run the Democrat party, and we’re sick to death of it.

So, the question is: what are they really offering? Why continue to put them in office if we’re just going to be trapped in a disappointing political “Groundhog Day?”

I’m not the only one asking. Yesterday afternoon, Rush Limbaugh wondered the same thing. He mostly gives President Trump a pass, instead focusing his anger on Congress. I’m not going to be so forgiving. Take a look at a few of his comments, and we’ll discuss:

I would bet that President Trump has begrudgingly read Thousands of Contracts and such before Signing them. What he should do is this:

Congress has sent me Legislation to keep the Government running until September and as Soon as the Leaders of Both Houses of Congress read the ENTIRE Legislation in to the Public Record for the American People without pause, I will SIGN IT!

Who says they are “opponents”?

The Democrats are not filibustering, they are obstructing and the GOP is letting them.

In a real filibuster, the opponents filibustering must remain on the Senate floor
continuously speaking to keep the filibuster alive.

Now Democrats just check a little box that says filibuster.

In the good old days, they actually wheeled sick Senators onto the floor in wheel chairs to serve their time on the filibuster.

Nothing in Congress is as it seems. It’s decended into a bizzaro world of corruption and payoffs. If Every damn one of those Bozo’s disappeared from the face of the earth we’d be much better off.

After reading Sundance’s 4 part article at the CTH, I am less eager to criticize Trump. He has an awesome job ahead of him. It will surely take God Almighty to clean out that mess.

Clearly DC is not USAians government anymore. DC has been captured by foreign and moneyed interests. It is operating under a color of law which is foreign to our US Constitution. It serves its owners. We have become its subjects.

Is this the same Rush who implored us to vote for Romney and Ryan?
The same one who begged us to vote for McCain?
The same one who pleaded for Dubya and his massive spending?

This Spending Bill should have been passed and a fait accompli last fall. Trump never should have been able to get anything out of this year's Budget.

Anything he does get is a net gain, win Trump.

$15 Billion for increased military spending, $1.5 Billion for increased border security, etc. Trump did well here, and will blow your socks off with the 2018 Spending Bill in September.

Someone should tell Rush that we know that he knows this. Stop the 'controversial' posturing for ratings, it's hurting your credibility.

You actually use strategy, you break out that military spending, you push the Democrats to go on the record to vote against it, a bit of meaningless symbolism since it will pass the house. In the senate, there’s enough votes from those who are solid or going up for re-election that it’d pass as well.

At the end of the day, he’s buying votes to avoid a vote on a bill that would hurt the other party. That is such a massive gift, for a party which has a long history of never delivering on their promises.

But can you imagine the amount of capital he could get out of vetoing the porkzilla bill and then upending the table by putting forward his own choice of speaker, someone who’s not a member of congress who he suggests can actually challenge congress to organize and push forward useful legislation and actual budgeting?

This deal just puts everything Trump said he wanted on the sidelines and there’s every reason to assume that Democrats will not follow up on any backroom promises.
