The latest Democrat threat is that they will somehow stop all tax reform until President Trump releases his tax returns. This follows constant media carping during the election demanding that very same thing, only to have the demand rejected by Trump and, by extension, by the electorate.
But wait, you say! Polls consistently show the public wants Trump to release his returns. Sure they do, and it’s a classic example of what’s called push polling. When a pollster asks a person if he thinks something would be a good idea, that doesn’t necessarily mean the person was giving the matter any thought prior to being asked, or that it’s particularly important to that person. If you asked 100 people, “Should snails be treated with dignity?” you could probably get at least 75 say yes, even though they had never before given the matter any thought and may never do so again.
Let them continue to demand his tax stuff.
If he gives it to them, they’ll huff and puff and move on to the next demand.
No quarter. Eff ‘em.
Trump should claim the Russians hacked his tax returns.
Oh, it can be fixed, but it won't be. Because even if we could do so, we would not deport, imprison or kill all progressives, liberals, leftists, socialists, communists, Marxists...but, I repeat myself. We are the ones who actually believe that they have the right to be wrong (if they are willing to take the consequences).
It is not a Constitutional requirement so don’t.
This is the phoniest attempt at creating a scandal I have ever seen. His taxes get examined by the IRS every year. That is all the disclosure needed.
They are not really interested. They are just nosey

The issue just gives the Democrats a minor talking point for their base.
But what about an ACTUAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, college transcripts and all that other chit obozo deep sixed?
Tax returns are minor compared to the matter of his ELGIBILITY to even hold the office!
Its the job of a politician’s opponents, in his own party for the primaries and from opposition parties in the general election, to uncover any damaging information that they can find.
A candidate is under no legal obligation to release any personal information other than what federal campaign finance laws require. No state in the Union requires a birth certificate in order to get on the ballot.
McCain never released a copy of his birth certificate or Naval Academy transcripts. Romney and Trump released short form birth certificates, just like Obama did in 2008 but no college transcripts. Candidates don’t control their original birth certificates, the state or county where they were born control those. They can be released for inspection via a court order from a judge.
In this age of Wikileaks, there is no information that can’t be hacked, even some of our nation’s top secret files have been leaked.
Tax returns are just a traditional information release that all presidents have done over the last half century. I say leave it to the voters to decide what they need to know in order to give a candidate their support. Obviously not enough voters cared about Obama’s birth certificate or college transcripts to stop him from being elected and not enough people cared about Trump’s tax returns to stop his election either.
