Trump says infrastructure plan could top $1 trillion

President Donald Trump told chief executives of major companies on Tuesday that his administration is working on an infrastructure plan worth $1 trillion or maybe more.

Trump told the audience that he wants to speed up permitting for road and bridge projects and that federal money wouldn’t go to projects that couldn’t be started within a month and a half....

As long as it does go for roads, bridges and the like and not for welfare, section 8 housing, “free” education and “free” medical treatment, I’m all for it.

The carbon tax sounds like the pawn in the deal. They’ll agree to give that up and “settle” for the VAT.

Isn’t all this infrastructure already covered in local tolls, bond issues, taxes, federal grants, etc and so on and so forth to the tune of a significant part of our GNP?

Where’s all that money been going all this time?
