It is hollywood and they can’t help make it political. The evyil colonel will of course be Trump. All the colonels fighters will be wearing MHGA again caps. Global warming will somehow work itself in to the plot. Gay monkeys and apes will save the day.

It sounds like the plot is designed to make us root for the apes.

So Cesar the noble chimp is heroic, and this is the prequel to the traditional Planet of the Apes, which was a really sucky place. I wonder if they’ll expand the franchise with a further sequel showing the degeneration of the ape-run victors. I doubt it.
