Christian leader and evangelist Lou Engle called for a three-day fast from March 8 to March 11 to pray for President Donald Trump, stop witchcraft and overturn the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in 1973.
Writing in Charisma Magazine on March 6, Engle explained how his plan is based on the "corporate prayer and fasting" of Queen Esther that spared a nation "annihilation" in the Bible.
Engle said the need for this prayer and fasting was partly because of the Women's March:
Hundreds of thousands of women watched the March, heard the vitriol and could not identify with the radical ideologies being expressed that would not acknowledge God's Word and ways in the public controversy.
This new woman declared deep inside her heart, This is not my revolution. Now, like Esther, she is arising for such a time as this. It's time for this corporate Esther to frame the future by recognizing and taking up her God-given role of persistent public persuasion in the open square as well as that of her humble appeal to God in prayer.
The Women's March was the first shot across the bow, heralding a revolutionary rise against the president of the United States, "We the people" and in reality, the foundational biblical truths upon which our nation was founded.
Soon after, the second shot was manifested publicly: an unprecedented global summons of witchcraft to curse President Trump, his Cabinet and all of those aligned with a biblical worldview. Suddenly, the whole controversy was elevated to a global spiritual dimension, inaugurating a spiritual battle that cannot be won on the playing field of protests and political arguments.
Only the church has the answer to this unprecedented manifestation of witchcraft. Spiritual strategy must be used to overcome this open-faced, brazen challenge of the powers.
The "curse" that Engle mentioned was a "mass spell" that was cast by witches and like-minded people on Feb. 24 to stop Trump from harming others, noted BBC News.
Back in Charisma Magazine, Engle recalled how two women had asked him to use his "influence to call for a three-day Esther Fast to answer this challenge."
Engle mentioned how "the Jewish holiday Purim celebrates God's deliverance of the Jews through Esther's fasting, sacrifice and courage," and added: "This year, Purim begins on Saturday evening, March 11."
Engle noted that the evening of March 11 would be the end of his three-day Esther fast which will "counter this witchcraft, to stand against the rising anti-Semitism, pray for the president and contend for the uprising of an Esther movement in America that will, among many things, reverse the decree of '73, Roe v. Wade, just as Haman's decree was reversed."
For Gondor.
Amen to all of that effort. It is a spiritual battle with all that witchcraft talk. These stupid people are playing with fire from hell where they will wind up if they don’t turn back from the evil.
Revival. National Repentence. Tearing down the pre-born sacrificial altars of steel including those in our hospitals.
Prayer and fasting ping
Join us daily to pray for AMERICA and our leaders.

I wish they would’ve seen and spoke out more against that demonic evil inside the Obama administration, the battle against Caesar Nero and principalities and powers in high places ruling over this Earth vs. talking against some mentally ill degenerates, the equivalent of pigs trolling in the mud that was merely a side task for our Lord on his way to Jerusalem and more important matters,
“So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.” Matthew 8:31
OK.
I’ll do it.
So, no food for three days?!?!
I pray that Trump may smite our enemies.
I've read that Christians are required to fast on Wednesday and Friday, but I've fasted only once and then only b/c my girlfriend was going to fast and I agreed to fast too.
However, in addition to the spiritual reasons and benefs, not surprisingly there are also a lot of healthy reasons to, and benefits from, fasting.
I guess I've no excuses left not to fast, now.
Besides, we're in a war and I've read that: "Through fasting and prayer one can stop wars, one can suspend the natural laws of nature. Works of charity cannot replace fasting... Everyone except the sick, has to fast."
