I just want to poll Freepers, and see where everyone is at?
Do you believe a coup d'etat or silent coup against President Trump is Imminent?
We who have no power or insider influence need to keep praying for this man and our nation. We have done well, with God’s help, so far. Let’s keep it up. Get everyone you know to do the same.

The left is STRONGLY pushing the following:
1. Make it so tough on Trump he resigns;
2. They are strongly encouraging, and hoping, that he will be assassinated or impeached and removed;
3. If #1 and #2 fail, that the coalition of socialist dems and RINOs in congress that he will face four years of failure to get his programs through.
Pence is an OK guy, but a Casper Milquetoast and would I expect absolutely nothing from him if he took over.
I don't know if Trump has something up his sleeve, but I', praying he hits back - HARD and soon!

If Trump has the type of evidence I believe he has in his possession, if the congressional intelligence committees fail to conduct a thorough investigation and attempts to omit facts and or evidence, Trump will be able to drop the corruption hammer on them too.☺

As to your hypothetical? A captain? I’d follow my orders, of course. But there aren’t enough generals who would participate in the coup. I’m telling you, based on my experiences and faith in our military. I don’t believe it can be done. The logistics and secrecy required to set up such a thing would tip off a response by loyal military officers. If a president were abusing the Constitution (say, by a factor of 10X that Obama abused it) and tried to use the military unlawfully against Americans, those in uniform would resist him and set the stage for an unorthodox change of leadership, of course, but even at that, impeachment would be the recourse. But this president hasn’t abused his power in any sense. I can’t visualize it. (Having said that, I’m reading The Black Swan by Nassim Taleb, so I know my thinking makes me vulnerable to just such a Black Swan.) Again, too many officers of high rank, including retired flag officers in the cabinet, would make a coup impossible. In my opinion.
I know. Stranger things have happened. The CIA getting so dangerously close to surveillance of Americans? A presidential major party nominee, of all things? A siting Secretary of State doing favors for a foreign power and receiving personal monetary rewards in the form of speech honoraria and so-called charitable donations? An AG allowing thugs outside a polling place to get away with intimidating voters? And (as they say in the informercials) much, much more.
As far as intrigues, though. I doubt the coup.
I am more fearful of one of those insanely hateful members of the press getting a righteous calling to attempt more than the journalistic assassination. Or a Soros crowd attacking the motorcade.
In my opinion, the president has turned the momentum of this deal, and the Obama crew, the Schumer crew, the Pelosi crew and the press are going to be on the defensive from tomorrow onward.
We’re lucky to have a president who fights.

That’s silly to say. President Trump isn’t going to broadcast every move.
I think they have attempted it but they better watch out, I think the white gloves are off and the high road was blocked.
Given that everyone has a cell and an IPAD these days, someone would get a pretty quick clue that this was not a legitimate order, though I seriously doubt any such order would ever be issued.

Why is NOBODY pointing out the obvious here?
Namely, that it was the DNC, and specifically the Hillary camp, that repeatedly, and in a MULTITUDE of ways, engaged in election-rigging tactics, both before and after the election.
Stealing Bernie’s electors, colluding with media, rigging the debates and the polls, fomenting riots, Obama openly encouraging non-citizens to vote, and even harassing and threatening the electoral college members.
Fabricating this “Russian hack” story is just one more in a long list.
Trump did NOTHING except hold rallies and get his message out.

No. They corrupt enemies of this country (Obamas, Clintons, sadly Bushes, Soros, GOPe such as Graham, LSM, their brown shirts, etc.) almost certainly will try. It is becoming increasing clear they actually are trying. But they will fail.
