What is this about? How about a short summary of why I should view it!
Kind of what I expected.
.45, .40, 9mm, .38 special and .22 one round each to see if they went through. They did.
Not a 1940-50s car door though
No volume.
This is my favorite “shooting at a car” demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8i5d5toEDk
Good reminder of how fake the movies are when it comes to guns.
Back in the 80s I used to plink on some land owned by a friend. It was out in the middle of nowhere near the Virginia/North Carolina line.
There were some old abandoned cars there which gave me the opportunity to experiment. I was a bit surprised that even lead balls from a .36 Cal. 1856 Navy reproduction went right through.
I suppose if they hit some of the mechanism it might have stopped them but it never seemed to do so.
While my old Dakota was in a Waffle House parking lot a couple of months ago overnight because the brake caliper was locked up and waiting for a tow truck, a patron of the WH parked beside it, removed his Glock .45 to place it in his glove box. It fired. The bullet went through the side of his new car and into my driver’s door. The effort of transiting the side of his car left just enough energy for the round to go through the outer skin of my door. It is now in the bottom of the door where it rattles when I hit a bump. I painted the edges of the hole and left it. I know how it happened because the fellow called the police and left a note with all his info on it. I called him and he said he would pay for the damage. I told him thanks for the conversation piece. In that old beater it just added some interest. He was greatly relieved and said he had a $2000 deductible he was straining to pay on all the damage to his own car. I offered to help him out with it but he declined.
You are a seriously cool dude.
It’s not my video but thanks for sharing
