United Nations Human Rights Council, a body that has been accused of being biased against Israel and criticized for including abusive governments, according to two sources in regular contact with former and current U.S. officials.
No immediate withdrawal is expected ahead of the council’s next session, which starts Monday, but discussion of abandoning the council is likely to alarm international activists already worried that the United States will take a lower profile on global human rights issues under President Donald Trump.
A final decision on membership in the council would likely involve Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, as well as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, and of course the president himself.

Good - the “Human Rights” Council is a sick joke designed to attack Israel and let actual offenders have a free pass. They care not a whit about countries that oppress their own citizens but have issues with a Nation defending herself from those who would violate their Human Rights by slaughtering them.

Hopefully Nikki Haley stands up and exposes this council as a colossal waste of money because they refuse to name terrorist nations because they are so fixated on Israel owning Jerusalem that they can’t breathe properly- Expose this fraud of an organization once and for all
“Human rights” used to mean protection for civilians in time of war, the right not to be raped, tortured, enslaved, subjected to chemical and biological weapons, etc.
Now the LGBTers have taken over, and are distorting “human rights” to mean THEY have the “right” to openly advocate the gay lifestyle in schools and cultures all over the world.
Better yet, since the UN is nothing more than a VIP lounge for dictators and terrorists, throw the bums out and TEAR THIS BITCH DOWN! Then sell the site to Trump’s kids for $1. Let them negotiate with the Mohawks and the NFL so they can build a casino and stadium there so we can once and for all bring the Jets and Giants back to NYC where they belong!
Although not a written rule, it is a longstanding custom that the U.N. Secretary-General should not be the citizen of a country that is a permanent member of the council: the U.S., Russia, China, France, and the United Kingdom.
Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres became UN secretary-general for a 5 year term beginning Jan 1, 2017. If U.S. removes itself from membership in UN council, could/would obama become the new Secretary-General? Is that why he sucked=up to the middle=eastern nations?
