Good - the “Human Rights” Council is a sick joke designed to attack Israel and let actual offenders have a free pass. “Human rights” used to mean protection for civilians in time of war, the right not to be raped, tortured, enslaved, subjected to chemical and biological weapons, etc.

Although not a written rule, it is a longstanding custom that the U.N. Secretary-General should not be the citizen of a country that is a permanent member of the council: the U.S., Russia, China, France, and the United Kingdom.
Former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres became UN secretary-general for a 5 year term beginning Jan 1, 2017. If U.S. removes itself from membership in UN council, could/would obama become the new Secretary-General? Is that why he sucked=up to the middle=eastern nations?
