Funny, I used to play a lot of tennis, and we would commiserate about one particular guy who was a good friend of all of us, but he would never engage in a volley to win...he would simply try to get it back to you, and you would eventually become so impatient that would eventually make a mistake!
It used to drive us crazy, but in looking at it, it worked for him! It was just maddening, because you wanted a real volley, and you would instead get “whack! bounce...lob...whack! bounce...lob...whack!...bounce...lob, etc.
We called it guerrilla tactics even back then!
That said, I agree, it reflects on the stupidity of the people filing the suit, and doubly (and entertainingly as well as hilariously, to me) on the liberals at ESPN being hoisted on their own petard!
Kind of like that extremely liberal woman (Paula Deen) on some cooking show who used the “N” word, and no matter how abjectly she apologized, her career as she knew it was over, ended by the liberals who she worshiped.

Which is funny because there's an MMA fighter that has the nickname "the Killa Gorilla" and there's another fighter nicknamed "the Black Beast" that has a gorilla tattoo on his arm.

The left certainly is niggardly with their tolerance these days.

And that phrase also has nothing to do with a larger, stronger, faster opponent charging the net.

That is guerilla tennis. And that is also NOT how Venus was playing that match or plays in general. She was charging the net and killing the ball, a style of play that for a white player could easily be described as gorilla tennis. I think he just forgot the 3rd rail was in the building, and probably would have been better served by simply admitting he screwed up.

Isn’t ESPN hosted by jocks and former jocks?

Very similar to the leftist meltdown after somebody said somebody was niggardly (meaning stingy). Leftists are simply not sane.

I thought Kurt Russell and Martin Short had ironed this out many, many moons ago in “Captain Ron”.

Back in the 1960s there was a short lived tv show called Garrison's Gorillas about a commando team behind enemy lines during WWII. I guess it was a play on the homophonic guerrilla. It was inspired by the movie The Dirty Dozen. It only lasted one season. Fortunately there was no black character among the main cast. Oh it was broadcast by ABC which runs espn today under the Disney umbrella.
guerrilla: noun...a person who engages in irregular warfare especially as a member of an independent unit carrying out harassment and sabotage

Reminds me of the flap when some “racist” used the word “niggardly” to describe someone.

Ya I remember the uproar over using the word niggardly.
Are some people just always on the lookout for ways to be allegedly offended???
