I am looking for a Denver Based Lawyer to handle a Veterans Discrimination Case. I want a military veteran and a Freeper.
I already have a MSPB case approved, but just realized the Top Administration official is complicit and I may be out of my depth.
PM if you are interested, I promise I will back up my case.
DAV, VFW or some veterans groups may be able to direct you to successful help.
Nope, talked to the former Commander of my VFW Post, he said that is not the way to go.
The Truth is I a can do it myself as I am fully retired. But as the saying goes if you act as your own lawyer you have a fool for a client.
You mean there isn’t one on TV ADVERTISING 24/7?...............
I live in Thailand and do not watch TV.
Do you want to expand?
Here we have lawyers on TV advertising their services around the clock for all sorts of things, usually suing insurance companies, drug companies, employers, Workers’ Comp and claiming huge settlements for their clients.
Not knowing you were in Thailand, I thought it very amusing that you couldn’t ‘find’ a lawyer........................
So your living in Thailand and how are they discriminating against you here in the states.
I applied for a US GVT Job in Bangkok, they refused to accept my application based on Veteran Status. The MSPB approved my claim and assigned it to the Denver Court.
Thailand is in my Profile. But I do need to update as my angel is almost 3 and a half.
understand good luck
Note that I have been a Freeper for almost 20 years.
The last time I posted a vanity a Freeper came to meet me at the pier in Redondo and I bought him a beer.
IIRC, there is still a Civil War era law on the brooks that prevents a lawyer from charging more than $10 to represent a veteran in claims against the government. In the 80’s the law was challenged, went all the way to the Supreme Court where the law was upheld. Can anyone confirm that?
I would say unlikely as this court has a filing to recoup Lawyer expenses which seems to be the standard.
