Federal Judge Who Intervened Against Trump Travel Ban a big Believer in “Black Lives Matter” Agenda

Seattle area Federal Judge James L. Robart intervened against President Donald Trump’s travel ban last Friday. It may be of interest to some that Judge Robart went on rather a tear about just how much black lives matter during a hearing in August of 2016. The following excerpt from an article by Steve Miletich is rather revealing about at least a portion of the belief system of the George W. Bush appointee to the federal bench. Ed.

"Federal judge declares 'black lives matter' during hearing over Seattle police reform"

By Steve Miletich 8/15/2016

“[Judge] Robart, who is presiding over a 2012 consent decree requiring the city to adopt reforms to address Department of Justice allegations of excessive force and biased policing, called for major changes that would directly affect the union’s membership...

Robart ended the hearing with deeply personal remarks, in which he noted a statistic that showed, nationally, 41 percent of the shootings by police were of blacks, when they represented 20 percent of the population.

“Black lives matter,” he said, drawing a startled, audible reaction in a courtroom listening to the words coming from a federal judge sitting on the bench.

He also said the recent shootings of police officers, including in Dallas, Baton Rouge and, in 2009, of four Lakewood, Pierce County, officers, reflected the importance of the work being done to heal police and community relations.”

Judge Robart failed to note that the killers of the police officers in Dallas, Baton Rouge and Lakewood, Pierce County, Washington state were each black. That brings me to an article written by John Lott in the December 2nd, 2014 New York Daily News. I’ve included an excerpt below. Ed.

"Dangerous distortions about cops shooting black men"

By John Lott

“If you’re going to correctly compare the rates at which police kill black and white male teenagers, you have to compare teenage crime rates. You can’t just compare crime rates among the entire black and white populations. The rate that these teenagers commit murder, not including rape and other less serious crimes, also provides a somewhat better measure of the perceived threat that they might pose to police.

Among blacks, teenage crime is much more prevalent. Based on the most recent available FBI crime numbers, black male teenagers were nine times more likely to commit murder than were their white counterparts. That’s right, nine times, and the gap in these urban areas is undoubtedly even larger.

After adjusting for murder rates, black male teenagers are still killed by the police 2.3 times as often as whites. This is a considerable difference — but again, over-representation of urban areas in the data set could be a big part of the explanation.

Screaming “racism!” may attract a TV audience. But uncritically spreading bad information is downright dangerous.”

(The NY Daily News notes that Lott is a former chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission and the president of the Crime Prevention Research Center.)

The website HeyJackass.com does an extraordinary job of compiling everything an interested party may want to know about homicide statistics in Barack Obama’s old home town of Chicago. A few numbers from HeyJackass involving homicides in 2016 include the facts that:

In Chicago during 2016, 798 homicides took place. Of these, 624 of the victims were black, 44 were white. Of the assailants charged, 104 were black, 5 were white. No suspect was charged in 625 of the cases. Of the 144 cases in which a suspect was known, 12 were termed self-defense, 11 were police involved and 6 were murder-suicides.

Draw your own conclusions about Judge Robart’s apparent claim of race as a primary motive behind shootings on the part of police officers given the Chicago statistics and the information presented in the excerpt from John Lott’s article. And by the way, in 2016, 140 law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty.

It might be better for the Trump administration to attack the unfitness of this judge instead of the merits of the ruling. Go from playing defense to offense by filing charges with the courts against this liberal POS.

He referred to him as, “A so-called Judge,” an of course the media is in all out craziness about it.

Don’t know why. I think it’s an expression with merit.

Have you ever had a doctor treat you, whom you thought didn’t know what he was talking about? You may have referred to him, as a “So-called, physician.” Or how about a plumber who didn’t put your water heater in right. You caould say he was a so-called plumber.

Just because a guy is a judge doesn’t make him reputable or even worthy of the office.

Judge Robart looks like what would happen to Jeff Daniels if he got locked in a Dairy Queen all weekend.

huh ? Judge gets it wrong and fails to take into account who commits more crimes as a percentage of the population

50 percent of the victims of fatal police shootings were white, while 26 percent were black in 2015.

blacks committed 62 percent of robberies, 57 percent of murders and 45 percent of assaults in the 75 biggest counties in the country, despite only comprising roughly 15 percent of the population in these counties.
