It was a WTF moment.
How the F do you lose that?
Matt Ryan didn’t screw up. He actually had a much better QB rating than Brady, and didn’t throw an interception. He should have been the MVP.
Someone had a good comment. “I am going to contest the results of this game! The Falcons really won! Who is going to hit the streets with me tomorrow?”
It’s almost like he won the popular vote. /sarc
Football games aren’t decided by which QB plays better.
Yeah but it really wasn’t Matt Ryan fault. The falcons coaches called too conservatively in the final 6 minutes. Yeah there were some incredible catches by Julio Jones in between that time but the Falcons seemed to have wanted to run the ball more to take time off the clock. Go for the kill I would say and worry about everything else later

The choke wasn’t entirely Ryan’s fault, but as the ATL lead disappeared, he looked exactly like Stuart on The Big Bang Theory after his comic book store burned down.
I want to see Ryan in the SB again to see if he

There was plenty of unfiltered foul language on the Fox broadcast itself, especially when Willie McGinest carried the trophy out, and the Pats players were launching joyous MF-bombs as they kissed and touched it. Willie himself uttered the same word a few times, too.
iirc the tv crew calling the game actually called ryan MVP of the game late in 3rd qtr after birds went up 28 - 3.
I was right along with them thinking that Ryan would be the MVP. The tide turned.
