Only the left could get away with doing such a thing without being called racists.
The College Fix reports:
"College pledges to hire professors based on skin color, mandates social-justice workshops.
A womens college is planning to hire new professors based on the color of their skin because of the demonstrated benefits of nonwhite faculty.
Whether such faculty benefit the college enough to be paid for a full teaching load remains to be seen, however.
After a year of deliberation, the Barnard College Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion released a set of draft recommendations last week with the aim of improving representation, inclusion, and social justice in the classroom and on campus.
Beyond hiring a new C-level official to oversee diversity efforts, the recommendations include mandatory social justice workshops for all community members and extra academic support specifically for racial minorities.
The effort is so expensive that Barnard, which is affiliated with Columbia University, will have to launch a new fundraising campaign to pull it off, as the recommendations acknowledge.
I suspect that many companies no longer feel threatened by the Department of Justice, coerced to put blacks on the payroll just for show. It really was the “Quartering Act” on a farther-reaching level, forcing municipalities and companies to basically provide homes and income streams to blacks under threat of lawsuit.
Those days are over.
It would be amusing if the Trump EEOC focused exclusively on discrimination cases against straight white males.
Shut yo mouf—mufhafugga.
One could make a job qualification of having a major in math or science with grade B or better in your major. Don’t hire “ology/studies” majors and that weeds out a lot of slackers and people with major agenda focus...though these days, not all.
I see that it’s a private all-women liberal arts college. It’s sad that for 4 yeara they will be denied the “diversity” of a white male’s point of view.
