This is a place many Cal alumni turn to for news, and I feel there is going to be an annoying narrative hanging in the air today about our campus and our people. In light of yesterdays events, I want to issue a public service announcement about last nights protests in Berkeley, because I feel our Golden Bear population deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Anarchists from around the Bay Area, NOT Cal students, were the ones who demonstrated violently last night in Berkeley. Utilizing typical black bloc techniques, they hijacked last nights peaceful student protest of a certain speaker and turned it into the uncomfortable display that was aired throughout the nation.

The longer that Soros is tolerated, the more mayhem he will create. How long do we have to wait before this country gets into action against this rabble rouser? Are we afraid of him?
So then why did UC Berkeley's Chancellor Nicholas B. Dirks and Mayor Arreguin allow the violence to happen?
How can we hunt them down when they’re already off the streets, hiding in their comfortable homes. The hunting should have been done by campus police.
I actually think it is probably true that these “anarchists” are not students. I can’t figure out why they never seem to get caught, identified, and publicly revealed. I personally wouldn’t care if, next time there was a riot, the cops just started tazing and arresting anyone wearing a mask on sight.
That doesn’t make the school any less liable.
Those thugs were “anarchists” only in the same sense that Democrats favor democracy.
These rioters must be met with overwhelming deadly force and any survivors dropped in a deep, dark hole for many decades.
Because they suddenly realized they’re about to be made an example of per DJT’s ‘pull funding?’ tweet.
They’re realizing they crossed the line where their allowance goes away.
They SHOULD be the first example, after all, they ‘invented’ the First Amendment in ‘64.
That should have read: they were testing the line at which their allowance gets yanked. DJT artfully played the dad who asks mom across the breakfast table ‘no more allowance?’ when a child tests a boundary.
I am watching cnn now and they are blaming Trump and saying the anarchists are republican plants.
Really? Who’s saying that at cnn?
Bezerkley has a history of “non-violent” violence going way back to the 60’s. Traditions die hard there.
Someone is. That he has not been whacked shows that he has pull and protection somewhere.
Maybe a series of booby traps upon his untimely death.
As long as they do it, it is non violent. It is only violent when it is done to them. We ave two choices: Fight fire with fire or surrender and be exterminated. They have demonstrated time and time again they are not interested in co-existing. There are two sides in play here; good and evil. One side is waging war. One side is standing around with their fingers up their noses looking pretty. Waiting for the police to protect them. Our forefathers would already chased them out of the United States.
How much more is our side going to take? How many more heads have to be busted? How many more of our people have to be put in the hospital or morgue before we defend ourselves?
One and the same
The Left is already burning out like a fever, with no clinton cash they will shrink down to the small evil core, which will be simple to dispatch. Won’t be long...
Fallacy of Inconsistency (from the article):
“Before the band was able to play, people dressed in black with their faces covered began firing flares. These people were not UC Berkeley students nor representatives of what we were trying to do tonight.”
Um. If the faces were covered, then how did you know they were not students? Duh!
Impossible to conclude they were not students. I’m sure many students caused damage, since many students are leftists with a need to vent.
