This is a place many Cal alumni turn to for news, and I feel there is going to be an annoying narrative hanging in the air today about our campus and our people. In light of yesterday’s events, I want to issue a public service announcement about last night’s protests in Berkeley, because I feel our Golden Bear population deserves the benefit of the doubt.
Anarchists from around the Bay Area, NOT Cal students, were the ones who demonstrated violently last night in Berkeley. Utilizing typical black bloc techniques, they hijacked last night’s peaceful student protest of a certain speaker and turned it into the uncomfortable display that was aired throughout the nation.

Just like the Ole Miss Klansmen, the Cal-Berkeley Rioters had the tacit permission/approval/admiration of the Cal students and administration. Maybe the Cal students wouldn't burn a cross, but they'd sure roast marshmallows next to it.
Yeah so what? You guys told the police to stand down and encouraged and supported the riots. So take take ownership, cowards.

It’s true. If you look at the video it’s well prepared anarchists dressed in all black. 75% of the students were locked down in their dorms according to student interviews.

In many instances, they are one and the same. The organizers definitely know it. Each cluster of participants has their role in the charade. Many are there just to provide distraction.
The local media conspires to keep this weakening delusion of seperate groups going for another day.
I think they’re figuring out that President doesn’t back down on his threats or promises. And I do think that they’re all going to be investigated and funds are going to be severely cut, and they should be. If funds are going to be cut from other areas might as well cut them from Berkeley. Let Hollywood, who keeps running their mouth about punching people in the face if you don’t their thoughts, let those idiots send all their money to Berkeley instead of our federal tax money.. Same as always we get assaulted, called names, have our speech shutdown, yet we work and pay the taxes to support these animals.

Trump needs to hunt these bastards down, everywhere. These organized paid anarchists and communists need to be dealt with as a terrorist organization.
Any masked person at a demonstration on private property should be turned away or arrested immediately. Masked people at protests on public property should be suspected of bad intentions and directly supervised.
These anarchists scare me and make me fear for my safety when they start burning stuff and breaking windows. I hope that does not start close to me. They are scary all dressed in black wearing masks. Who knows what could happen in a situation like that but something need to happen to stop it.
No arrest means they are lying.
I blame primarily (after the Media - who always skew the 'news' reporting to favor the leftists) the Berkeley police who let the Anarchists take control.
In the Bay Area they seem to step aside if conservatives are being attacked.
But, that aside, the liberal, 'peaceful', protesters give cover to the violent Anarchists. Similar to the 'moderate muslims' who give cover to the 'violent terrorists'. The moderates can disavow the violence - but they sure don't do anything to prevent it (or even impede it).
yeah, right...
...and charged as terrorists.
