Disenchanted liberals are rushing the border to Canada to flee from President Trump only to discover they do not meet immigration requirements.
The Daily Caller reports that one of the policies that many liberals are protesting is President Trump’s proposal to crack down on immigration and introduce “extreme vetting” measures before allowing immigrants to enter the U.S. from Syria and several other countries.
Ironically, those very liberals who are intent on jumping ship to greener pastures are being met with similar strict sanctions and vetting policies in countries like Australia and Canada.
According to Canada’s immigration page, its stringent immigration policies include being able to “immigrate as a skilled worker,” “immigrate by starting a business and creating jobs” or “immigrate by investing in the Canadian economy.”

If even that fails, Blame Canada!
You have to have one of the following:
1. A job skill that Canada needs.
2. A business you are bringing to Canada that will hire Canadians.
3. So much money in your pockets that you can’t help but support yourself spending money in Canada.
Hollywood stars, workers with specialized technical skills, and entrepreneurs are about the only ones I see getting in.

“Skilled worker” & “liberal” used together constitute a cruel oxymoron and an insult to actual skilled workers.
They would come running back in less than a day from Mexico. Most of these people would not be smart enough not to get caught in Mexico if they tried to stay.
Why aren’t they going to Mexico?

Maybe the US Government can print up instruction sheets, answers to Frequently Asked Questions, how to cross the border undetected, how to cross a vast wasteland and how to milk the system once they get to civilization....
Speaking of civilization I recently saw a movie on TMC from the 30s or maybe early 40s and it starts with a group of horsemen riding along mountain ridges, deserts, with the main theme being on the scenery.
Not a word said and they plugged along until they came upon a tree with a body hanging from it.
The star said ‘Well, we are back in civilization’.

Because Mexico's immigration standards are even stricter than Canada's.
You can Live in Mexico but you won't be allowed to participate in the political affairs of the country. No waving America flags in the streets of Mexican cities, it's against the law. No registering to vote. Voters in Mexico have to show valid photo ID and prove they are Mexican citizens.
Add to this the fact that law enforcement in Mexico and be... somewhat inconsistent for foreigners and you can see why Mexico just wouldn't be a good fit for more American lefties.
One of the requirement to become a Canucklehead is that one must know how to bathe.
