Well, that didn’t take long. Shortly after President Trump signed executive orders aimed at immigration, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto ...well ...he kind of freaked out.
Hours after U.S. President Donald Trump signed executive orders to curb illegal immigration, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto promised Wednesday night to protect Mexicans in the United States.

He demands respect while our citizens provide healthcare, education, housing subsidies and free food for his citizens!!!!!
He’ll face an economic mess within six months as some special tax occurs on Mexican-made products that would usually go into the US. He’s finished...probably will be some type of massive Mexican outcry to dump the guy shortly. If this were me, I’d arrange for a long-term deal and hope that just throwing $500 million a year toward the US and some wall-fund would make the US happy.
Mexico is basically a third world country, kinda like the Southside of Chicago or Baltimore. We don’t take orders from their leaders or mayors.
He doesn’t really want to “protect Mexicans in the United States”. He wants us to. If they’re here illegally, send them back. Problem solved.
Protect those Mexicans, President Nieto.

The government has been encouraging Mexicans to illegally enter our country, get benefits fraudulently, work illegally and send the proceeds home.
Remittances from the US is Mexico’s largest source of income.

Oh no the president of Mexico might actually have to get to work fixing his own country. Mexico is the weak link in North America. They sit on a bunch of oil and valuable minerals. If they ever shed their corruption they would actually be quite a wealthy and powerful country instead of the third world craphole they are today.
Well do we have a “Mexican standoff” yet? :-)
We could work a swap system... for each dollar of imbalance in trade, give us a dollar’s worth of wall value and we’d call it even steven, no tariff.
This is simply amazing. Trump is an absolute genius. What does Mexico have to offer us? Cheap labor is about all. Trump took that off the table a long time ago. What do they have to offer now? Really?
Mexico is in no position to negotiate. They can make this easy, and mexico can take back its illegals, or we can this hard. Remind me again how much territory we “purchased” from mexico at the end of the last mexican-american war?
“Halls of Montezuma” and all of that. Nieto is pushing his luck.
The Mexican President can demand all he wants. Respect is earned.
