Love him or hate him, Demolition Ranch sure knows how to entertain. In this video he puts a loaded Glock 19 in the microwave, just because. Which will break first, the Glock or the microwave? Do not try this at home. Unsafe or not, Demolition Ranch does this sort of thing for a living.
Bonus Joke at the site:
A 1911 and a Glock walk into a bar..
1911 says to the Glock, "Hey you ugly foreigner, want to have a drinking contest?"
Glock replies, "You old idiot, you won't make it past 8 rounds!"
OK you 1911 guys, IT'S A JOKE! :-)
Next time I’m trapped in a microwave oven with a bunch of thugs, its good to know I can still protect myself.
It was a big boom...
It just goes to show you that a Glock WILL “Accidentally” fire WITHOUT pulling the trigger, when cooked in a microwave!
That’s some serious firepower!
I guess wannabe Demolition-Men and Munitions Disposal experts have to have fun too. Maybe he learned this while in the service. People who are curious or fascinated by something dangerous are the ones who help us innovate and improve.
Somebody has to experiment and take a chance on failure.
This is also true in the areas of Medical Research, otherwise, we would still be using leeches for most ailments, and only leeches.
Better be quick about it. Before your gun spontaneously ignites and melts in your hand.
Steel construction laughs at microwaves !!
haha the thing was in James Bond
By the way, this is a Slaghetti western 1911 haha
A few years back, the then-police chief of Madison, Wisconsin, accidentally turned on his gas oven where he had hidden his service Glock and it discharged.
Note to self: Never hide my Glock 23 in the microwave.
So is it because the grip is plastic? I would not think that the microwaves could penetrate the casing by themselves but clearly they would heat up the plastic.
Yeah, the polymer handle and lower melted down to a pulp but the radiated heat made the bullet shoot through the side of the microwave.
So the Glock died, but it took the microwave with it?
I have and shoot both, probably shot 100,000 rounds through 1911’s. Both are great weapons, the 1911 is unbeatable for feel and natural pointing. That said, I carry a Glock Model 30 .45 daily. It has probably had 5000 rounds without a failure of any kind and is a great shooter. As some have said the AK of handguns. I also have a custom AKM as a house gun!
Yup, the Glock took the bastard Microwave down too. :-)
The designer was watching a doublemint gum ad, and....
