So I was reading this book: Trump: Surviving at the Top. It was the sequel to Trump’s first best-seller, The Art of the Deal, which he wrote 30 years ago.
In the later book, Trump wrote about his personal life, in the mid 1970s. He wrote a bit about Montreal, and how he met his first wife, Ivana Trump there.
And he described the scene in Manhattan when he was a single guy:

Trump had nothing to do with her. It was his friend, Ben.
I think I was recalling the comment in one of his books where he talks about having “done it” with “a seemingly very happily married woman.”
Who cares?
Margaret Trudeau was married but no one thought she even seemed to be happy. She much preferred doing the rock groupie thing in a New York hotel room with the Rolling Stones than hanging out with PM hubby.
And now her son is PM. Poor Canada.
And he looks a LOT like Fidel Castro, who his mom hung out with.

Margaret Trudeau’s autobiography was titled “Beyond Reason”. No, really.

She used Erica Jong’s “Fear of Flying” as a DIY manual. Jong used the phrase “ Zipless F***”, which Maggie pursued with a zest unheard of in a politician’s wife.
Should make for interesting table talk at any state visit, not that Trump should waste his time on tiny third world basket cases.
The resemblance is striking. I never knew about this speculation till now. I grew up in Detroit during that time, and used to hear all the wild stories about Margaret in Canada.
The Canadians are seizing on this topic right now. Some are referring to Justin as ‘Baby Doc’ and his presumed father Pierre as ‘Papa Doc’. That’s what they used to say in Haiti
about their own corrupt dynasty.
