America's new First Lady Melania Trump has an unlikely fan in Boy George, who defended the former model at the Dior Homme fashion show in Paris at the weekend.
The Culture Club star joined Paris Jackson, U2 star Bono and Dior fashion tycoon Bernard Arnault on the front row for the catwalk showcase, and the Karma Chameleon singer used the occasion to blast those who have been slamming the Slovakian socialite in the media.
"As somebody who has a past, I think it's really wrong and mean-spirited of women to be so abusive," Boy George told The Associated Press, adding that he thought Mrs. Trump looked "amazing" in her Herve Pierre-designed inauguration gown on Friday (20Jan17).
And despite the fact many fear gay rights are in for a rough four years under Donald Trump's presidency, Boy George urged Americans to "remain positive".
And not only that, jealousy needs to be called as it happens. Mrs. Trump is singularly gorgeous. The Slovenian genome now has world attention, and it really pishes off the Moochelle supporting fashionistas who were expert at making plain into fancy.
Melania Trump would make any clothing she wears into a work of art. Unlike Moochelle, clothing does not make Melania Trump, she makes the clothing. That’s why there is so much caterwauling.
Melania looked absolutely beautiful. Criticism of her appearance is based in jealousy and downright unhinged hostility.
Good on BG to step up and defend her.
For me, I stuck with what my lying eyes told me. It seems to me that half the time Mooch went out of her way to look half azzed as a way to be "in your face" and the other half the time she wore things that had to be specifically designed to make her look her best.
Had she just stuck to what is good looking and acceptable in a workplace with some standards she would have been much better off.

I don’t get it why gays think they should have extra rights? If I go to apply for a job either I deliver a value or I don’t. If I go to get a cake for my gay wedding I would not want to force someone to bake it. I’d be afraid of what they put in it!
These people used to just want the public out of their bedrooms. That I’m all in favor of because it’s nobody’s business who they love. But today it’s escalated to the point where they demand the right to bugger us all!
Y'jes' sling cartridge belts over its shoulders and send it out to do battle.
Poor Michelle never had a chance and the idiot clothiers that really thought they could DO something should have been fired eight years ago.
I think of every picture I have EVER seen of Michelle over an eight year span ... there was maybe one or two that made her look good.
The two picts on the left aren't bad - this is supposed to some kind of "fun" outfit, correct? Maybe the color tone doesn't match MO's skin tone very well - she would have been much better to go with silver, or better yet, blue.
The pict on the right - this is how Michelle Obama would ruin an outfit. MO has an athletic build, long limbs, and there is nothing wrong with that. But here she once again bizarrely wears some kind of messed-up ugly worn sweater over a designer outfit. Worse yet, she wears it sloppily, and wears it in such a way that makes her body type look ungraceful. (I'm speaking primarily of the scrunched-up arms on the sweater.
OK, enough of a straight guy critiquing an outfit....
Some of Michelle's outfits were so unattractive that I suspect that some "fashion designers" were playing a cruel joke on her, to see if they could design something so ugly that even she wouldn't wear it. She clearly has no fashion sense and was ready to wear anything if she was told it is "high fashion."
Melania, on the other hand, has a very keen sense of fashion. No fashion designer is going to be able to pass off their ugliest joke designs on her as "high fashion" the way they did with Michelle.
I honestly don't understand this at all. I don't think Trump thinks about this sort of thing at all. Personally, I do not like homosexual marriage, but Trump has said (pretty correctly) that the Court has decided the matter and there's nothing more to be said.
So where is the threat? Why are homosexuals afraid of Trump? There seems to be no basis for it.
It’s almost like Moochie’s designer took pleasure in making her look big and aged.
That was a very good job you did! Observant and true!
Terrible outfit. It looks like it was made from a giant piece of gold-colored aluminum foil. Stiff, uncomfortable & ungraceful. And it’s difficult pear-shaped women (cough) to look good in clothing, IMO.
Actually, you nailed it.
I agree. Women of all sizes and shapes can make smart fashion choices and look nice. Once in a while, Michelle Obama did. Much more often, however, it seemed that she took bad advice or used poor judgment.
Ignore the critics...they were the same sheep who tried DESPERATELY to convince the American People that Michelle Obama was attractive....she was not, in any sense of the word.
When she wore black. But they'd have to print the negative to see it...
I dunno ... she’s looks okay in the last picture.
