The Constitution only mentions freedom of the press. It does not give them blanket purchase to undermine our government.

I’d be perfectly happy with not one MSM journalist being allowed in the White House. They are fifth column America-haters in my book.

Trump is just honoring long-standing tradition and precedent.

Helen Thomas was reserved a spot for *years* when she had no corporate media affiliation because - why???

She operated her own independent, self-owned news agency.

Remarks of Tony Snow upon Receiving Freedom of Speech Award From The Media Institute Friends & Benefactors Awards Banquet Washington, D.C. October 16, 2007

"I come not to bury journalism, but to celebrate and challenge it. It's a cliche that every crisis presents an opportunity, but it's true: The democratization of the media is a good thing. We now face competition from all quarters - including from people who have specialized expertise that journalists lack. We ought to welcome the new participants in the game and learn from them. They should do the same with us.

There’s an old boast in the business - that the job of a journalist is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. The thing is, we never realized that we were becoming The Comfortable - with good pay, job security, and access to movers and shakers all around the world. We need to cast off our coziness, venture away from safe stories and presumptions and into the wilderness of new topics, new ideas and new sources of information. In that quest lies the possibility of fulfillment and joy - and the hope of keeping alive the text and the spirit of the First Amendment."

Limit each organization to one and ONLY one person in the WH at any given time.

Whether they want to have someone from the front or back of the camera, sound guy, or producer, they are free to choose.

Not affiliated video or audio? Fine until one of the broadcast/cable media outlets uses your material and then you are affiliated with them for a year.

Using a pool system is fine as long as it is on a rotating basis, with names declared in advance by all parties using the pool material and they have no other person from their organization present.

Same rule for print media. One and only one person present.

I love the fact that DJT is using Twitter for his own use——to truly TELL the American people exactly what he says.

When the media has a news conference, they take notes, hen they spin what they want out of the information. Trump has their number!!!!!

Trump should invite small town newspapers and maybe even high school journalists to attend press briefings. Bet he would get a lot of better coverage.

We need to get rid of the chairs in the Press room. Have the press rotate their reporters every 30 days.
