Good morning/afternoon/evening/night centipedes. I wanted to share a story concerning the events that have taken place in Chicago, and my thoughts in general. I apologize in advance as this got quite lengthy, but I have been processing these thoughts for the better part of two days.
I am a teacher from Illinois who works regularly with Special Education students. Today, one of our kids came in and was completely shut down- not responding to anything we said, absolutely isolated from everyone and everything around her. She stayed like this for most of first period, until another student asked her why she was upset. This sent her into hysterics, sobbing so uncontrollably she could barely speak. What she did manage to say was, He was my friend he was my friend.
You see, she knows the young man who we all saw in that video.
Sporadically throughout the rest of the day, our students voiced their confusion: Why did that happen? Why did that boy get in the car with them? Will they charge the people that did this?"

Even asking those questions is racist.
...It has been said before that Illinois is a microcosm of the entire United States. If what we have seen in Chicago for years is any indication of the condition of the United States, I pray to God that He will give President Trump the strength to save this country from what Obama and his cohorts have done to it.
For all our sakes.

I guess it will just stay hidden then.
I live in IL also and appreciate your comments because people thing I’m nuts when I say similar things. If it wasn’t for Chicago, Illinois would be as “red” as Indiana or Kansas. Take a look at the ELectoral College map and you can see the same thing is true nationally. What makes Illinois different is the Democrats have been entrenched so long and so deeply they have better defensive mechanisms (as we see with a Repbulican governor who can’t accomplish much other than stalemate). The US (thank God!) still has enough diversity and (thank God!) the Electoral College rather than popular vote, so we have been pulled back from the abyss.
Replace the Electoral College with Popular Vote and the US will be stuck in the same position IL is.
Or just let the urbanization and depopulation of “red state” rural areas continue for another generation or two and it will happen by default. The math of the demographics has not been in our favor, but now we have Trump who can hopefully change that.
It is Chicago, Obama’s backyard. Murder capital of the country. Liberals have come out and said it was not ‘hate crime’, nor racially motivated, yada yada yada....
And it is what it is.

It sounds like Caterpillar is moving jobs out of Aurura to Arkansas and Decatur. There long range plan seems to be to reduce their exposure to IL.
I teach special needs kids, the kids who aren’t mainstream. We stay in our lovely bubble. It made me physically ill when this story came out. I thought about my kids & about what makes young adults act like something out of the worst horror movie.
Decatur is in Illinois and Cat makes their mining trucks there. It is sad that the union workers can’t connect the Obama hatred of mining with the low demand for mining trucks.
These thugs need to be punished as hard as possible. let’s make an example of them.
Chicago is a cesspool of unfunded pensions and crime.
Rham is sure doing a fine job.
