FBI dispute with DNC over hacked servers may fuel doubt on Russia role

The FBI may have been forced into a misstep when investigating whether Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee -- the agency never directly examined the DNC servers that were breached.

Instead, the FBI had to rely on forensic evidence provided by third-party cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, which the DNC hired to mitigate the breach.

“The FBI repeatedly stressed to DNC officials the necessity of obtaining direct access to servers and data, only to be rebuffed,” the agency said on Thursday in a statement....

I believe Assange who has more credibility in his little finger than the FBI, CIA, DHS, the DNC, 0bama, the MSM or Linda Graham.

There really wasn’t anything in the wikileaks that people already didn’t know. So why would it effect the vote?? It didn’t.

“CrowdStrike”. Sounds like a good name for an event food catering service where everyone who eats suddenly gets the runs.

Yet, the headline on CNN is Putin ordered the effort to influence the election, to help Trump and denigrate Clinton, according to US Intelligence report.

Not kidding. I went over there to see if the website was posting a lighter skinned shooter in Ft Lauderdale. The banner at the top claims Putin did indeed try to influence the election. In a related story, we find out that the DNC refused an order to have the FBI inspect their servers. Really??? Where did the ‘US Intelligence’ get their info then??? The FBI NEVER DIRECTLY INSPECTED THE DNC SERVERS!! By raising the specter of Fake News, Big Media has again deflected the ‘fake’ part onto others, while continuing to report Fake News themselves.

I didn’t know that the Algerians paid the Clinton Foundation $12 million for the US State department to take them off the terrorist sponsor list ...

I didn’t know the staff of Stratfor hosted office pizza lunches with a single slice of pizza they all had to share

I didn’t know a lot of stuff about playing dominoes on pizza pasta and walnuts, but now I do thanks to John and Tony Podesta

Not that those things affected the vote of the adorable deplorable

And the DNC is saying the FBI never asked to investigate their server(s).

LOL, it’s a they said/they said standoff.

Both lose more credibility by the minute.

Fyi CrowdStrike is own ironically by a Russian expat...

So both the DNC and CrowdStrike may both have a political agenda... neither allowed an outside expert the independently examine..

(There is and old saying. That to a man with a hammer all problems look like a nail... if you hire a Russian expat security firm befor you even know who hacked it. Does that mean that the DNC was looking for to be Russians vs an inside job?... the Russians vs inside job would certainly be to the DNC advantage And would the security firm be inclined to find what they specialize in?)

CrowdStrike is hardly disinterested, it’s funders and directors are associated with Clinton.

Very sad, but very true. This is like watching a bad B rated movie made in Zimbabwe! We are making real banana republics look good.

Here is what the Head Of The FBI, Comey said about Hacking Hillary’s emails

With respect to potential computer intrusion by hostile actors, we did not find direct evidence that Secretary Clinton’s personal e-mail domain, in its various configurations since 2009, was successfully hacked. But, given the nature of the system and of the actors potentially involved, we assess that we would be unlikely to see such direct evidence.

So how come they can see that the DNC was hacked ?

CrowdStrike was called in to investigate a DNC server data breach during the primaries when the Sanders campaign briefly had access to Clinton voter data in Dec. 2015.

Funny how they didn’t mention any Russian hacks back then.

Hmmm. So, again, “high confidence sources” and “our assessement” with no specifics in the unclassified report. Come on guys. Really? Still ain’t buying.

How could it be that Putin was trying to give election to Trump when the Russians tried to hack RNC also.

If it was the Russians, they were trying to destabilize and get us fighting about nothing. Which worked.

I cannot believe Putin is happy with Trump as PRESIDENT. Trump’s building up our military.

I can build a case for Putin preferring Trump, not saying he did anything to tilt the election for Trump.

So I can give three reasons from Putin’s viewpoint as to why he might prefer Trump:

1. Most obvious, he doesn’t want war with US over Syria.

2. Hellary is unstable & blitheringly incompetent. Look what she did in Libya! Her attempts to show herself as some sort of modern day Warrior Queen is as dangerous as it is pathetic. Zero is actually preferable, his congenital cowardice keeps him in check.

3. Putin thinks Russia has its historic zones of influence & thinks he can cut deals with a rational actor such as Trump to respect them.

I’m sure DNC has very good reasons they don’t want the FBI anywhere near their servers. Its one thing for the Russians to see their underwear, its another thing altogether for the FBI to see it. Even if they control FBI and Justice, you don’t want to push your luck.
