President-elect Donald Trump responded to Vanity Fair publishing a savage review of the Trump Grill last month by suggesting the magazines no talent editor, Graydon Carter, will be out.
But on Friday, its Trump who will be inside Condé Nast, home to Vanity Fair and publications including The New Yorker, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Wired, GQ and Glamour.
Trump is scheduled sit down with Carter and other members of Condé Nasts leadership team, including Vogue editor and longtime Democratic donor Anna Wintour, at the companys World Trade Center headquarters. Trump already met with Wintour last month at Trump Tower, on the same day he spoke to Kanye West.
Its the Carter meeting that will be watched most closely, given the pairs decades-long feud. Carter dubbed Trump a short-fingered vulgarian in the pages of the late Spy magazine, an insult that has continued to rankle the businessman. Carter also took aim at Trump during his presidential campaign, and wrote after the election that only in America could a man whose staff took away his Twitter account be given the nuclear codes.
New Yorker editor David Remnick, who called Trumps victory nothing less than a tragedy for the American republic, also might attend the sit-down....

I know some people get the vapors over Trump saying things like this, but I absolutely love it. Graydon Carter is a no talent who should be out.
Why even bother? I don’t understand why he went for an interview with the New York Times as well. The worst of the worst.
Once again going into the heart of the enemy—Going into the snake pit! Brave man Mr. Trump!
Why does he keep ‘Meeting” with the Enemy? Why?
Ah, I gave up questioning his moves and motives a long time ago after they mostly ended up working to his advantage.
Do they publish any magazines for men?
He’s having the time of his life.
“Culture is upstream of politics.” ~Andrew Breitbart
Because some/many of the enemy might be soon meeting Jeff Sessions, once the rule of law is restored. Quite chappy of him to give them a heads-up, don’t you think?
Why does he keep Meeting with the Enemy? Why?
I think it’s a New York thing. Many of them consider arguing a sort of sport. I think Trump enjoys the verbal jousting.
Because the only way to defeat an enemy is to take the fight to them. That lets them know that they don't have carte blanche on the dialog.
Bush never did that. He just took the abuse and look what it got him.
It’s a win-win for PRESIDENT TRUMP.
If they give him a good interview, he compliments them.
If they don’t give him a good interview, he Tweets his critique to the millions who follow him and they go out of business.
Because it is so much fun to look them in the eye after winning the vote of all of us good people.
Plus, there may be those too afraid to speak who need to hear Trump’s message of courage.
Maybe its the Breitbart way. Andrew Breitbart would always go into the lion's dens of the left. And Bannon is now in the WH, so maybe Bannon is behind this tactic.
LOL
