Republican Leaders Want to Keep the Obamacare Taxes
The Resurgent ^ | 12/22/2016 | Erick Erickson

Did the GOP not just win an election, in part, because of the devastating effects Obamacare is having? They keep pledging they are going to repeal it, but one Republican Senator who will have a great deal of say in the matter wants to keep the Obamacare taxes in place.

Some conservatives have long pushed for repealing the entire health law, including the taxes. But other Republicans, including Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), want to keep some of the taxes to provide revenue for a replacement plan.

“There needs to be some source of revenue,” Cassidy told The Hill. He noted that various healthcare industry groups already worked out deals when ObamaCare was being passed in 2009 to give up some money in exchange for increasing coverage, which would help their business.

“As far as I’m concerned, we can leave those on the table,” he said.

Big Business desperately wants out from under the cost of employee health insurance.

Of course they do. There's nothing wrong with that.

There is if they’re working in collusion with government to dump the cost on to the taxpayers.

Employer sponsored health insurance was originally a benefit offered by some companies to recruit good employees, sometimes just a perk for management. Then it became mandatory for all certain sized companies, for most employees, and it was mandated to cover everything.

Its totally fake. Erik Ericsson is not a reliable source. He is a liar pure and simple and should not be listened too. And anyone who swears by him should also be shunned.

You are correct, this version of the story, I should say Eric Eriksson’s version of this story is a GOPe plant story, again trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters. We should shove a wedge up Eric Eriksson’s ass.

Don’t make the mistake of believing anything reported by Eric Eriksson, he is an extraordinarily good liar, just like hillary. When one sees an article by Eric Eriksson, ones best move is to pass it by and not read it since it will be based on lies.

All Obamacare taxes are illegal, (the bill did not originate in the house,) all OC taxes collected must be returned to those who paid them.

That’s right - keep stealing illegal fees (turned into “taxes” by John Roberts. And they also hate the word “RINO”....

There will be huge revenue supplied from the halting/freezing of Federal money to Sanctuary cities/counties/states.

Getting illegal invaders off welfare payments—lots of places.

President Trump’s first order of business should be repealing the Congressional exemption for Obamacare.

Bingo. But repeal ALL exemptions. Like Ronaldus Magnus said. If they won't see the light, make them feel the heat.

Trump needs to start investigations on McConnell and Ryan. Let them know he will jail them as they just cannot be honest people doing this.

True — but most of the Federal budget is basically a case of one person or group dumping costs on the taxpayers.

Big Bisiness desperately wants out from under the cost of.employee health insurance. Obamacare, and likely any replacement, is and attempt to guarantee revenue streams for the Health Insurance companies once Corporate America starts dumping health insurance as an employee benefit.

Yep. Which is part of the reason I get nervous seeing all the Chamber types in President Trump’s cabinet.
