Spy agencies will not brief members of the Electoral College on alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential race before the Dec. 19 vote, despite pleas from 70 electors, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence indicated today.
"Recently, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has received requests from Members of Congress, several electors of the Electoral College and the general public for additional information on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election," the office said in a statement.
President Barack Obama has ordered a "deep dive" on that alleged Russian interference that will be completed before he leaves office on Jan. 20.
"Once the review is complete in the coming weeks, the intelligence community stands ready to brief Congress and will make those findings available to the public consistent with protecting intelligence sources and methods," the DNI statement reads.
Although the statement didn't directly say a briefing for electors was out of the question, a U.S. official told POLITICO the statement was a signal that spy agencies had closed the door to the possibility.
One Republican and 69 Democratic electors have repeatedly called for a briefing. They have cited concerns over close ties between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the camp of President-elect Donald Trump.
“Separate from Mr. Trump’s own denials of Russian involvement in the election, the confirmed communication between Trump’s aides and those associated with the Russian election interference activity raise serious concerns that must be addressed before we cast our votes,” the electors argued in a letter, which was addressed to the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes has already complained about the intelligence community not briefing his panel when requested.
Folks, 0bama didn’t think the Russians were hurting Hillary, or he would have stepped in.
Nancy Pelosi’s daughter (D-CA) is upset that the general voting public was privy to the inner workings of the DNC-MSM media-industrial complex to influence the 2016 election.
They don’t need to be briefed.
Whoever leaked the docs did America a huge favor.
Only a month ago the press was ridiculing Trump for being reserved about making a pledge to accept the results of the election no matter how it turned out.
Congress isn’t being briefed but appointed ‘electors’ with no security clearance want to be briefed, uh huh, and they are already pledged to vote for Hillary so it isn’t because they are concerned that maybe they should be changing their votes.

Now, let us see if the Politico exhibits an equal measure of concern regarding the Dept. of Homeland Security actively attempting to attack the computer systems of various state government agencies.

Hillary had the entire propaganda machine of the MSM, and the entertainment industry behind her. She was also bankrolled such that she broke the record for money spent during a campaign for the Presidency. She made the decision to have a private server while SOS. She is the one who told a fabricated story to the families (and the world) about what happened in Benghazi. She is the one who has told so many lies that a feature length movie could be made about them. She lost because she’s a selfish loser. She had many, many opportunities to genuinely help people, but her ego was more important. She didn’t lose because of the Russians. She lost because of who she’s chosen to be.

Crap like this is going to be regular occurrences whenever a Republican wins the presidency. It started in 2000 and has gotten much worse this year. It will only get worse the next time the Rats lose.
And what used to be called “journalism” is now “interference”.
Were the parties reversed in this case, major news outlets would be extolling this as their finest hour.
So Hillary calls Putin names, like “Hitler” and election cheat, and then she wails because (according to her) he hacks her campaign and exposes her. Why didn’t the Hillary campaign take measures to protect themselves (like heightened security) since everyone knows (according to them) “this is what the Russians do”?
What a doofus.
Her voters aren’t nearly smart enough to figure that out.
