Pro-Gun Control Movie Released, You Won’t Believe How Much it Made at the Box Office
Young Conservatives ^ | December 13, 2016 | John S. Roberts

The American people don’t want to condescended to.

They don’t want to go to the movies and watch some flick about the far left political agenda.

They want to be entertained; to escape reality.

What a concept!

Miss Sloane was just released and it’s all about gun control. It earned $1.9 million while playing in 1,648 theaters.

That’s insanely awful.

From Fox News:

Movie goers weren’t too interested in “Miss Sloane,” a film that explores the gun control debate from the perspective of a lawyer who is lobbying for universal background checks for gun ownership. Still, the film’s leading lady, Jessica Chastain, landed a Best Actress Golden Globe nomination for the poorly received flick.

The film, which premiered in select cities on Thanksgiving, hit more theaters this past weekend, and it fizzled in its wide expansion, earning $1.9 million from 1,648 locations.

According to Deadline, “Miss Sloane” cost $13 million to produce.

Time to regroup, Hollywood.

Middle America wants you to cut the BS and start making movies for those of us who don’t live in either New York or California.

Like Nike taught us – just do it!

Lost 10 million bucks and they want to give a Golden Globe for it.

Isn’t Golden Globe sort of “the people’s choice award?”

This was the people’s Non-Choice.

I laugh at LIB lunacy. I ridicule their existence. I shun them. LIBs are a malignancy on society anywhere. They are corrosive lunatics.

Arrival was great and so was Allied, but the latter throw in a nod to present day,but was still enjoyable.

“Miss Sloane”

I’m no gun control fan by any means, however when it comes to movies the title can mean a lot if not everything. They didn’t do themselves any favors with this one. Sounds like a chick flick starring Renée Zellweger or Julia Roberts. lol

I think this reinforces one of the hidden messages of the 2016 election. To be Pro Gun Control is a political dead end.

Trump won in Northern ME, PA, WI, MI and almost won MN. All states with large number of traditional Democrat voters who also are hunters. Feingold lost a US Senate election he was winning in WI largely because he started talking in Oct about Hillary pushing EOs on Gun Control once President.

What cracks me up is when this propaganda piece was being put together by Hollyweird, it was going to be released when President-elect Clintoonie was running around celebrating with her Marxist buddies. LOL! Well, that didn’t work out.

Hollywierd never learns. A halfway decent John Gresham novel Runaway Jury was destroyed when it was made into a movie and the bad guys were changed from 'evil tobacco' to the 'evil gun industry.'

It was a laughably implausible plot switch.

Not to mention the fact that they purposely hid the “gun control agenda” from all the trailers leading up to the wide release. I saw one new commercial within the past week that I could infer there was a gun control message. Before that, nothing except standard “lone woman taking on the system” message.

Hollywood always seems to have anti-Republican and pro-Democrat movies ready to go at election time, don’t they?

There was also some movie that was changed from evil Islamic terrorists to (I think) PO’d white guy terrorists.

Like America worries about PO’d white guy terrorists.

Anybody who’s looked at the gun/ammo sales figures over the last decade should get a clear picture on where America stands on guns.

But, fortunately liberals are stupid.

I admire the libs who “aren’t “ the useful idiots. They have such a racket going and their lemmings are way too stupid to understand it. They produce an agenda driven movie which clearly isn’t intended to be seen by 75% of the population. The movie loses a boatload of money, but the main players all get paid. Then they hold an awards show to further promote their cause and congratulate each other.

Meanwhile the lemmings shelled out 15 bucks to watch this schlock and get all pumped up that gun control is seriously being addressed.

This has been the formula of every leftwing movie over the last 20 years.

Miss Sloane doesn’t really invite a second look, does it?

Not even by women.

To be Pro Gun Control is a political dead end.

Especially after the sitting president has spent 8 years whipping his moronic base into a lather over nonexistent police brutality and bias, only to see the more violent and disturbed morons engage in a systematic, premeditated slaughter of police officers.

The message was received loud and clear: if the police aren't safe, then nobody is especially when ferals have mayors, DAs, the US AG and the president prosecuting the cops rather than the criminals.

Obamaism is on full display in Chicago: corrupt officials, a surfeit of thugs and police with their hands tied. The rest of American decided they didn't want to be Chicago.

How about Miss Stake? Looks like that’s what it was. Should have gone straight to round file and even bypass DVD/BlueRay.

I don’t go to the movies anymore, but I do rent movies and occasionally buy some.

Recently, I paid $10 to rent a movie. I know that is a lot, but the movie wasn’t released for purchase, and I really wanted to see it.

The movie was “USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage” with Nicholas Cage playing the role of Captain Mcvay.

I have read quite a bit, and had the opportunity back in the nineties to spend several hours with one of the senior surviving officers, and talked on a wide range of subjects, so when I saw there was a movie, I was in the middle of reading another book about it and just had to see it.

So, I spent $10 to rent it.

Worst. Movie. Ever. Most wasted $10 in my life, and I have wasted $10 on things that should be worse.

“Based on a true story” as they said, it was “based” on it. But it was so far away from anything, that I turned it off after 15 minutes. It was that bad.

The subject is a compelling subject that should be known by all Americans, and they turned into some corny love story, a story about racial relations, you have it. It really angered me.

Same with the story about “The Monuments Men” who were art specialists in WWII they sent to the fronts in Europe in WWII to try to find and protect art. Great, fascinating, compelling, true story that we should all know about, excellent book. Then they made a complete farce of the movie, turning it into a cartoon, with idiots like George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett, etc.

This stuff angers me, because I know that there exists a huge portion of the population that gets their understanding (sad to say) from TV and movies. I view it as an opportunity, but...they put out this crap.
