President-elect Donald J. Trumps choice for Secretary of Labor seemed to renounce his former positions on immigrationin which he supported foreigners over American workers for jobsin a new statement on Saturday, seemingly admitting he was previously wrong.
He'd better function as a Secretary of Labor for Americans, not foreigners - this is not an issue Trump can compromise on.

If I am a CEO I must work within the law. Thus if the government is importing cheap labor I have to go along even if I don’t like it. The other option is to close down. I’m not sure he’s reversed himself so much as it is that now he can express how he really feels

Anyone who thinks Trump will hire someone who will not 100% support his agenda hasn't been paying attention.
The fact that many Repubs in the Congress have put together a "delayed deportation/amnesty not-so-lite) bill for him to peruse should tell us that they know he's serious as hell and they don't agree with him....
